COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This India Pale Ale is entirely hopped with the Centennial variety in honor of the 100-year anniversary of Glacier National Park. A lovely floral and citrusy hop profile.

Sample at brewery. I’m not sure if this is the Centennial IPA or not that is listed on their webpage. Clear gold, frothy white head. Aroma of floral, citrus and herby hops along with caramel. Taste is very well balanced and has lots of tropical citrus along with a resinous bitter finish. Soft carbonation, medium body.

Sample tray. Hazy dark gold. Weird texture and flavour. Not sure if it is an unusual hop or residue from the Tripel.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub in Missoula with clear deep gold body with copper hues and full semi tight off white head. The cold tap pour doesn’t allow much aroma out to start. I get faint spicy to earthy hops and little else. The taste begins with a modest soft spicy hoppiness and quickly grows more and more into bitterness coming from spicy hops and earthy dank hoppiness. The hops are supported by a pretty clean and mildly sweet malt backbone. Initially everything was muted and just short of yummy since it was served very cold. When will these brewers and beer bars learn these ale taste at best poor when served so cold?

This rating is for the bottled version, purchased at the brewery. The ABV is different (7.3%) but I think this is the right brew. Nice orange-amber, a little hazy, lively off-white head. Aroma is fruity and piney, sweet. Nice hoppy palate, caramel sweet malt, bitter finish. A little oily, medium bodied. Very nice.

Draft at the Missoula. Pours a hazy medium golden brown with a loose white head. Toasty piney nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel mid palate with a crisp piney finish.

On tap at the brewpub in Missoula. Pours golden with a rich off-white head and a floral aroma. There is hearty toffee flavor with a large dose of centennial bitterness. A pretty good IPA.
