Poured hazy golden yellow with small white head. Soft carbonation. Spicy clove aroma. Light-to-medium bodied that starts with light malt sweetness and spicy clove and licorice flavor. Finished with light malt fade and bitterness. Rather watery and ordinary with odd licorice taste, definitely not one of Flatlander’s better offerings. Gr0ve (1428), Oslo, Norway

Fruity and somewhat phenolic nose. Medium-bodied with a soft malty mouthfeel. Not really a good example of the style. In fact I did not like it at all. Decent aroma: once we get past the stinging lemons, we’ve got banana bread, cloves, pepper and orange peel. Weird teetering on the palate. Flavoring revolves around light banana cream puffs and borderline acidic lemons. A little watery with a lightly peppered finish.
