COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Flensburger feiert sein 125-jähriges Jubiläum. Ein Anlass, der nach einem besonderen Bier verlangt: Flensburger Edles Helles. Gebraut in bester Premiumqualität.

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy aroma, some hay, surpressed muggy undertones. Taste is grainy, some pale malty spiciness, very subtle, almost fruity, sweetness; mineral, bitter, chalky finish.

djoeye (1380) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUL 8, 2014
White tall fluffy foamy head. Light straw yellow clear body. Varied crocheted laceworks. Mild hops and pale sweet malts to the nose. Crispy malty grainy worty taste, with hints of apples and flowers. Feels as normal. Finishes with bread, wort, apple, malt, malted candies. Alright Dortmunder. [33cl Beugelverschluss abv5.4%, b@Poetzsch Pattburg/Harrislee, t@Middelfart]

worldbeertaste (1619) - AUSTRIA - NOV 26, 2013
Amber with a fizzy, thin, disappearing, nonlacy white head. Smells of grain, straw, malt, caramel and a bit of an herbal hint. Tastes of oats and straw with a caramel herbal bitterness and a bittersweet finish. Bland and sort of a consistence of a strong French beer de grande. But this only has 5.4abv. Not a good sign. I guess it’s ok.

Typical German helles beer. Fresh and mildly hop bitter. The bottle looks quite nice.

pivnizub (8764) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - OCT 10, 2013
Bügelverschlußflasche:Clear, golden, visible carbonation, small and slowly vanishing white foamy layer, sweetish-grainy nose with hoppy and malty undertones; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, chewy MF - therefore almost medium bodied and a bit oily; slightly grassy bitter finish, but mainly sweet pale malt detectable. A solid thirst quencher…

Light color with foamy head. THe typical Helles with very little hops. But still a nice maltyness in both smell and taste. Rrefreshing. Some hay, dough and banana.

Of all the Jubilaumsbier I’ve had this has been the poorest. Quite underwhelmed by the product. Slightly citrusy aroma, slightly hoppy taste, good head which quickly fizzles out. Not unpleasant, consistent for the brewery, but not Germany’s finest.
