Bottle. Pours pale gold with a nice white head. Citrus and lemons in the aroma. Appley and cidery with slight yeast notes. Thin and watery, has a stale cardboard aftertaste.

33cl bottle@home in pilsner glass@approx 7 degrees C. Pours clear light yellow with large white head with enough retention. Subdued aroma af grass and malt. Light pilsener taste with some sweetness in a predominatntly malty taste. Crisp with a somewhat bitter hoppy aftertaste. For my money, the Flensburger Pilsener is a much more satisfactory beer. The Gold in comparison is just too much of a standard lager - not bad, but not very interesting.

Lys gulbrun farge med tynt hvitt skum. Lukter mildt av malt og karamell. Smaker mildt og har medium med kullsyre. Lettdrikkelig lager med litt sødme i avslutningen.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow with a medium white head that disappears quickly. Minimal lacing. Aroma of malt, grassy. The taste is moderate sweet, virtually no bitterness. Smooth palate. Not the worst pale lager.

Was meant to buy the bottle only, but this one is actually far better than I supposed. Nice hints of malt and honey, rather than grainy like bud. The taste was fresh and flavorful, too. As the smells suggested.

33 cl "Plopp"-Flasche, goldenes Bier, weißer, feinporiger Schaum, der sofort in sich zusammenfällt. Leicht hopfig, ansonsten geschmacksneutral

Copenhagen 26/3 2015. 33 cl bottle from my brother in law visiting Germany. Pours clear pale yellow with white head. Aroma is malty and little bit sharp. Slightly metallic. Medium carbonation. Taste is a little sharp, metallic and sour. Not the best from Flensburger. And not much "Gold" in 4,8 %.

33 cL bottle into an Orval glass. Golden, lightly gassy with a fluffy head. Very faint hoppy aroma. Dry and quite bitter. Its alright, a typical pale lager, but bland.

Sampled from a dumpy flip-top bottle. Full marks for packaging! Pours a tranlslucent yellow with a firm white head. The taste is light, pure and slightly sweet. Good malt flavours a beautiful subtle hop taste of newly-mown hay. A typical light German lager, but very well-made and with subtle flavours. Highly drinkable.

330 ml bottle. Commercial pale lagers usually suck, but this one is pretty cool. Sweet malt smell. Golden color with the sadly usual lager dizzy head. Taste is kind of sweet and very light. Inside your mouth is maybe too carbonated so you feel less, but is good. Finally, the bottle is great; I absolutely love the flip tops, so even if I get the worst beer in the planet, i’ll always give a few extra points for the packaging. Thanks Charles de Quillfeldt for such an amazing and beautiful way of closing a bottle!
