3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330 ml swingtop bottle, bought at a border shop near Flensburg. ABV is 4.8%. Hazy brownish golden to amber colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of malts (including a hint of mild roastiness) and woodwork, hints of herbs. The flavour is malty without being very sweet, again with mild roasty and woody notes, herbal hops and some fruit in the finish. Not bad.

Malty fumes to the nose.
Off-white caramellic head.
Hazy dark amber body.
Malty taste, smoked malts, underlying bitterness.
A little mealy to palate. Well bodied.

Overall tasty. I think it is a good pal to powerful dinners.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bernsteinfarben, leicht trüb, wenig Schaum. Ein hefig-getreidiges Aroma. Säuerlich-malziger Geschmack mit der für Flens typischen Bitterhopfenkeule. Überhaupt nicht mein Fall!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml swing top bottle. Poured into an english pint glass.
Copper amber colour, slighty hazy. On top a thick soapy head, white in colour, with very good retention and some lacing left around the glass.
Aroma is kind of wort like, but sweeter and not very offensive. Sort of rotten autumn leaves, a bit lactic too. Light yeast notes as well.
Sweet on the taste, with lots of malts. Turns to a pleasant light bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium thickness on the body, average carbonation. Nice dryness on the palate.
Nice alternative to a lager, refreshing and hoppier, with an interesting set of smell and appearance too.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy but stable white head. Clear hoppy aroma with a slight grassy and paperlike note. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of yeast. Cardboardlike finish. OK but nothing remarkable.
