2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This a very typical north German beer. Nice straw colour and a firm head. Some citric notes on the nose but mostly malt on the tongue. Palate a little weak but pleasant. Nice pils.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at home. It pours clear yellow with a thick, foamy white head. The nose is mellow, white bread, cracker, flour, grain and cereal. The taste is crisp, grassy bitterness, straw, grain, sweetish white bread, cracker, touch of paper and some soapy lemon notes with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall its fine. A reasonable lager bier.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pallid gold in colour with a thin but creamy head. Light con aroma with tiny hints of straw and light spice. Flavour has character - some graininess accompanied by an almost vanilla like flavour but with all of it’s sweetness inverted into bitterness. The bitterness is higher than usual for a Pilsener but to a very manageable degree and this helps it to stand out. The finish is somewhat gripping with a grainy, biscuit like character. Not as clean a finish as in many other pilsners but this works to it’s advantage as it gives it a unique edge.

Es ist ja alles gesagt, nur noch nicht von jedem. Ein herbes pils etwas grasig etwas blumig und vor allem herb.

was expecting much more, bottle poured a fine gold & frothy with a terrible skunky grainy aroma the taste was better but the overriding stench ruined this

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mar ’15. A 0.5 l fliptop bottle from some supermarket in Berlin. It poured pale yellow body with quite a big head. Herbal and lemony aroma, grainy/honey malt and a bit dusty but not bad. Flavor was moderately bitter, herbal hoppy and lemony towards the finish. Malt was honey and bread, all pretty rough and grainy, but it blended fine. Medium bodied. Lightly sour in the finish, with some even lightly unpleasant notes. I made a joke that’s the "Küstengerste aus Schleswig-Holstein", as it’s stated on the label. Anyway, that coastal barley didn’t do so well, although after all ups and downs, it was a pretty decent for a macro pils.

Flaske og fad. Farven er lys gyldengul med en fin skumkrone. Aromaen er humle græs og malt medens smagen er humle og græs. En ganske udmærket tysk pilsner.
