Bottle. Poured a golden straw color with a nice fluffy white head that left a good lacing on my glass. Slightly sweet aroma of pale malts with a bit of hop presense. Good clean flavor of malt with not as much bitterness as most German pils. Nice, smooth palate to make this another easy-drinking German pils. Not bad.

Bottle. This beer is exactly why I don’t like German Pilsner. Both aroma and flavor is bitter in the worst of ways. Not really sure how to describe this. I think I’ll let my rating stand for itself.

Bottle brown, 330 ml, 11.3 P
Appearance: Pours metalic yellow to pale and bright orange body colour. Body texture is not perfectly clear, head is initially medium and quickly decreasing to small, frothy, snowy white and leaving very nice lacing.
Aroma: Very gentle and faint, some notes of natural honey, some micro hints of malted barley and practically no hoppyness in aroma, heard to say anything more.
Flavour: Old, crystalized honey, later on notes of natural honey. Barley grains, initially seems wattery and unimpressive but the initial impression is definitely missleading later on especially in the aftertaste you can feel nice bitterness focused on the sides of the tongue, binding your tongue, a bit syrupy but not sweet, chalky, definitely the hoppy taste is compared in the malty sweetness of a beer and being strong is staying at the background not coming up front. Finish duration is long.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery but a bit oily, carbonation on palate is light, finish feel is bitter, a bit accidic and salty.

Bottle shared by The_Captain. Thanks Mark. Golden pour with nice head. Had a nice crisp bitterness though rather nondeScript flavor. Still rather enjoyable though.

Swing top - Pale yellow pour with white head. Good carbonation and crisp, refreshing. A blend of hops and thin malts, biscuity with a slight dry finish. A good mild german Pilsener.

330ml swing tip bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale yellow. Fairly crisp carbonation. Thin, characterless malt. Slight sweetness. Dusty, slightly cardboardy hops. Fairly noticeable bitterness which lingers in the finish. Faint biscuit and citric note inbetween the swallow and the finish. Better quality malt, fresh, whole hops, no filtering, no force carbonisation, and some sense of adventure might lift this above the stunningly ordinary. Nice bottle, shame about the beer.

335 ml swingtop, bb Jan 27, 2009. Gold with a small, but lasting head. Aroma is faint honey and dry grass. Flavor is similar, but with some apple-grape and a slightly harsh lemongrass finish. Light tingly body has a dry finish.
