3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 clvand0 (350) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JAN 7, 2004
This bottle was brought to me by friends who went to Germany. Comes in a green bottle with the ceramic flip top. Pours a very clear and pale yellow with a thick white head. The aroma was very hoppy. The taste was exactly what I expect from a Pilsner, but this one does it better than most. Taste is very hoppy, slightly bitter, with a bit of good skunkiness. Not bad at all.

The aroma is very light malty with notes of straw and hops. The color is golden and it has a beutiful but disappearing head. The flavor is very malty with notes of straw and a fine bitterness. The bitterness is pretty flowery. Very good for a pilsener.

Nutty aroma, pours with great head and leaves a well laced glass. Intially a dry nutty taste and finishes with a herbal after taste. Quite complex for a pils, an interesting beer.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 Bronstein (175) - Göttingen, GERMANY - DEC 20, 2002
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2003 Yellow color. Somewhat creamy and stable head, Starting slightly sweet, then dry in the main body, finish and aftertaste with lingering bitterness. Bad to my palate. The cute bottle made this one a success. There are a lot of imitations.
