Good for a Pilsner, bad for my types, but I have to recognize he hops ar enice. Actually, I think Wacken festival took it as it’s official beer. The Scorpion’s drumme,r didn’t like it.

Hamburg takeout. Pale and rocky with a persistent bathfoamy head. Shampoo quinine bitterness, rubber, oaty pale malt afters. Lingering IBUs. Admirably hoppy pils.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium frothy white head. The aroma is floral hops and wheat. Good sticky lacing on the glass. The taste is a malty bread and a bit sour. Not much going on with this pilsener from Flensburger.

texasbartender (160) - Sugarland, Texas, USA - JUN 2, 2008
The beer pours a light yellow golden color with a thick white head that last. The nose is a light mix of malts, grass and straw. The taste is very earthy, a mix of grains, straw and a wet horse barn flavor. Not impressed but found it drinkable

Looks like your average lager, except the foam isn’t that ugly, it’s actually quite nice. The aroma is quite average too, but the flavor has a nice finish with some hops that manages to raise it a bit above average lagers.

Hazy straw colour. Very rocky head is worth a point itself. Fresh grain nose, hint of seabreeze and very herbal hop notes. Sort of light, watery on the palate with light bitterness. Hint of herbal hop. Creamy maltiness at the end.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2011 Bottle. Pours light gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is grainy, clean malt with light mild hop. Flavor is much the same and dry with metallic notes. Light, watery body with high carbonation. Overall it is "ok".

Beershine (5218) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2008
Pours clear blonde with thick rocky head leaving lots of lovely lacing. Fresh grain nose, wonderfully fresh considering the bottle traveled such a long way. Thin, watery, and disappointing flavors after that. Not enough hops to warrant the pils designation. Cereal sweetness. Quaffable. Has a clean finish and a subtle spark of woodsy hop in the back of the throat but having to search for hops in a pils is like having to search for sun in Florida--it should not happen. Overall not bad and bears some contemplativeness.
