Bottle (from Bitter Virtue, BB Mar 07). Minimal hops on the nose with some light maltiness. Clean malt body with refreshing hop balance. Largely unexceptional but quite drinkable lager.

The aroma is malty with some grassy hops. The appearance is pale gold with a large head. The flavor is malty with some citrus and high bitterness that is somewhat astringent. The palate is average for the style. Overall it’s a typical German Pilsner.

Poured pale golden with spry carbonation and a frothy head of whipped eggwhites that left intricate lace. Malts and hops equally prominent in the aroma. Sharp bitter flavor with a breadiness in the finish. I did not expect much from this beer based on their <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/flensburger-gold I recently tried, so I’d say this greatly exceeded my expectations.

Wow, what a great pils. Just when you think you’re completely sick of a style ... Anyway, pours very pale with a fluffy, beaten egg-white head. Nose doesn’t give much away. Flavour is dry, bitter, and thirst-quenching with little notes of citrus and the perfect blend of malt/hop/yeast, finishing sweet and long. Has to be drunk cold I’m guessing, and does all you could ask of a lager.

Very pale yellow colour with big foamy head. Aroma is malty with citric undertones. Taste is mild at first and then bitter and citric. Quite okay, actually.

I would say that this was on pale side , head alone looked splendid . Aroma was a bit to sweet , more hop character would be welcomed . Earthy front with bitter aftertaste . Hops are much more active in beer itself . Incoherent .

Swingtop bottle that gives a good shot when opened. Clear straw yellow. Small, lasting head. Light hoppy aroma. Flavour with a weak hint of herbal and light malty sweetness. Light to medium mouthfeel. Short finish. Refreshing on a warn Saturday in Arctic Norway.

Very pale with nice white foam. The slightly "metallic" tone in the aroma is a precursor of the dry and crisp flavour. A perfectly balanced north german pils.

golden amber with white head. Sourish hoppy malt smell. Bitter at first with a strong malt finish.
