UPDATED: JUL 19, 2007 Bottle. Pale yellow. Nice, uncompromising bitterness. Clean and crisp, but in the good way. 6 2 7 3 15

Draught at Porticus. Clear golden colour. Nice, stable, creamy white head. The aroma has a subtle note of aroma hops. Flavour starts off very clean, there is quite some aromatic hoppiness. Finishes with a good, clean bitterness. 7 3 7 3 16

A pretty straight forward pilsner. Ok bitterness and some fruity notes. Light amber in color with a nice white head.

Bottles in a private party in Hamburg,July 2011. Descent and easy drinkable pilsener.A bit thin.

330ml bottle. Aroma is sweet honey-ish and light hopy. Very unusual. Appearance is pale yellow with a small white head. Taste is slightly bitter, light sweet . A medium carbonation and a light dry mouthfeel. Overall a bit watery but a nice sweet and light Pilsner.

(Flasche) Es hat eine sehr helle, sonnengelbe Farbe, ist blank filtriert mit einer schneeweißen Schaumkrone. Das Aroma ist würzig, leicht waldig mit einer leichten Süße im Hintergrund. Der Geschmack ist eine weichte Bittere, die über den ganzen Mundraum verteilt ist und dann langsam abklingt. Dann kommt eine leichte süße zum vorschein. Die Karbonisierung ist fast ein wenig schwach. Zusammengefasst ein nettet nordisches Pils.

Aroma is pale malts and yeast. The flavor is malts, citrus and a mild hop bite in the finish.

Bottle somewhere at Germany. Malty and grass aromas. Pours pale gold, qith average white head, non persistent and no lacing. Light body andhigh carbonation. Taste is light bitter. Average dry finish. Standard pilsener, not bad.

Flensburger Pilsener has a thin, white head and a hazy, yellow appearance, with some lacing, streaming bubbles, and little brown flecks floating about. The aroma is of sweet, cracker, barley malt, and the taste is similar with some paper and a nice, fairly strong hop bitterness in the middle-to-end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Flensburger Pilsener finishes crisp, clean, easy drinking, and mostly dry. Overall, this is really nice. RJT

Flaska. Liten, svag arom: Nötter och gräs. En torr smak av hö och örter. Trist.

Nov 2006: from BA. Flip top 330ml brown bottle. Very pale, even for a German pilsner, burst out the bottle with a pop and produced a fine head, which sadly dissappeared as soon as I put my lips to the glass (a Veltins pilsner .2 glass). No smell to talk of really. Like all pilsners, I drank it cold and very little aroma comes across. Dry, crisp and thirst quenching. A dry hoppy aftertaste which lingers at the back of your throat for while. Not the best German pilsner I have had out of a bottle, but a long way from the worst.

Soft yellow pour. Malt and hops tug in the nose, but neither is overly assertive, or remarkable. A little thin through the middle, with less hop snap at the back than I would expect for a Pilsner. Not a beer I would seek out in the future, but decent.
