The german wheat beers are travelling north. This fairly new wheat sets itself apart from the typical bavarian by its unique taste and the typical flensburger bottle.

500ml bottle BB 31/3/2017 Strong wheat phenolic aroma. Hazy straw color with white head. Initial phenolic taste gives way to a clean refreshing (albiet thin) finish.

Copenhagen 28/8 2016. 33 cl bottle with swing top from Netto. 2 months over the best before date, when I consumed the bottle. Little medieval motif on the label with a ship, a tower and a couple of lions (coat of arms of Flensburg, I believe). Pours hazy orange with small white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Aroma is sweet with banana, peach and sugar. Sharp sour notes. Soft carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is a little skunky. Medium sweetness followed by sharp sourness. Short sour aftertaste. I do prefer the south German variety of Hefeweizen - but the typical flensburger bottle is still pretty cool.

So it’s not a Bavarian weisse bier, it’s still not bad though. Not very hazy. Aroma is quite nice. Sweet yeast you’d expect from the style. Taste is more wheat malts than banana or clove, but still silky mouthfeel and satisfying. No bad extra flavors, but just not as awesome as it’s cousins from the south. All the while a decent beer.

Dorada clarita, algo transparente, con ligera capa de espuma blanca. Carbonatación a tope. Las burbujas se adhieren a las paredes interiores del vaso. Aroma habitual de cerveza de trigo con notas de limón. Sabor ligeramente ácido pero balanceado, similar a cualquier Hefeweizen, refrescante y muy fácil de beber.

the aroma is fruity, a little bit, herbal with shades of banana, citrus, yeast and some spices... the taste is fruity, but rather watery, with notes of banana, yeast, some spicy grasses and sweet citrus... sweet and dry aftertaste...

Bottle 0.5l. Hazy golden-yellow with huge creamy white head. Aroma of banana, candy and yeasts, a bit floral. Sweetish flavor with notes of banana, yeasts, bubblegum, bitterish and sourish, hint of smoke, a bit watery. Light-bodied.
