The german wheat beers are travelling north. This fairly new wheat sets itself apart from the typical bavarian by its unique taste and the typical flensburger bottle.

The appeal of the swing top bottle - I just can’t wait to move the lever and hear that "pop" sound -it seems to imply freshness! Poured with a very nice large white headthat quickly disappears on top of the clear golden body. Aroma is very light at first, it seems to pick up as I drink it. Light banana and a bit of bubblegum and powdered sugar, citrus notes are more subdued. The powdered sugar lingers after the dry finish.

Nice bottle. Poured a very hazy dark gold color with an medium to large thick white head. Aroma is a strong bready yeast and pepper. Taste has hints of ripe banana, pepper. Finish is a little metalic. Still not bad.

Bottle. Somewhat hazy pale yellow color, quite nice lasting white head. Malty aroma, wheat, spices and grainy notes. Maybe some banana. SPicy bubblegum flavor. Finish brings some hops and yeasty notes.

50cl bottle poured into 33cl glass 07/06/2007. Temperature around 3-4 degrees (Out of fridge about 30 mins). Appearance: Golden, yellow. Nice white, frothy head that doesn’t last as long as i expected of a German Weisse. Aroma: Spicy Banana. Slight cloves maybe? Taste: Banana but quite bland to be honest. Carbonation fizzes on tongue. Verdict: Nice light weisse. Easily drank. Unfortunatly not a beer thats going to stand out in my head in a months time though.

12 oz. bottle. Great aroma. Very light carbonation. Grew on me as I drank but I never fell in love. After reading other comments I could discern the banana aroma and taste.

Just finished mowing the lawn, I gotta saw this is the perfect beer. Scent of bananas and taste for that matter. Pours a hazy copper with light foamy head.

Bottle from Keg Liqour. Pours a hazy orange hue with an large frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Good wheat and banana aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium well balanced spicy flavor with a good sweet finish of moderate duration. Good soft drinkable beer.

33 cL bottle. Pours orange with a crispy white head. Stron banana aroma with a whiff of smoke. Flavour is sweet bubblegum with a soft sweet bananaflavour in the finish together with nice bitterness, but it doesn’t go well together. Not good :(

Banana and citruy aroma, with some vanilla bean in there. Pours cloudy gold with a thick white head. Citrus up front, thin flavor, dissipates to a feint banana, the after taste to a banana smoothie or something? Not my favorite Hefe.

Swing top bottle, Knightly Spirits. Poured a hazy but not cloudy or sediment-laden amber color, nice large head, solid retention and lacing. The aroma was caramel, some bread, some grass, not much ester-phenolic character. The flavor was caramel, light bananas, bready notes, some hay, and an aftertaste that was kinda metallic-cherry-like, much like the aftertaste cherries leave behind, reminded me of the San Miguel aftertaste. The latter was certainly odd relative to the style, but not a bad thing if you’re flexible enough when grabbing one of these. The mouthfeel was moderate, not hearty and filling enough for a hefe, but decent.
