The german wheat beers are travelling north. This fairly new wheat sets itself apart from the typical bavarian by its unique taste and the typical flensburger bottle.

12 ounce bottle- poured out a slightly hazy, tea color. Very deep head. Aroma was sharp with a sour smell. Taste was about the same. Some hint of cider, maybe. Flat, unappealing. Skip it.

Weak hefe. Pours a pale yellow color that is not rich enough and not hazy enough for my taste. Medium to small sized fizzy white head. Not creamy! Nose of wheat banana and some peanuts. Taste is the exact same. Weak!

Kellemes búza sör az összes fajta jellemzőkkel, kivéve talán a túl gyorsan elillanó habot.Nem rossz!

A golden, tan/amber pour, a lot of foam, settels to a 2 inch head. Smells like lowest bidder grain, with some hint of cheap wheat, and a little sweet. Tastes like wheat malt, not bad, but not great either. Some old earthen taste is in the aftertaste. Pretty watery in the mouth, a tolerable beer at best.

Aromas of alcohol and fusil oils. Tarnished brass color with a ringed white head. Near medium body with a sticky fluidity and very mild carbonation. Flavor is lightly spicy with lighter stone fruits. N-amyl acetate seems present. The attractive part is the mild, peppery spice notes. Banana does lurk (after the N-amyl part). The finish is mild and medium dry. It’s very good, but quite unusual.

(bottle thanks OSLO) Pours goldwith a small white head. Aroma is quite odd for a hefe, smells like a white wine initially. As the beer warms the aroma switches to very light banana, but more apple than anything. Taste is typical of a lower quality hefe, with the taste of lemony mineral water. Finished with a light wheat twang and slight yeastiness. Mouthfeel was quite thin, definitely not a shining example of the style.

[Bottle] Pours golden with a small off-white head. Aroma is not very good--mainly yeast and some apple. Taste is slightly better, especially when colder, with a slight sourness up front, followed by malt and something metallic. Thin. Pretty short finish. I was a little surprised that I didn’t get banana or cloves, and this really was not very pleasant.

0.33 l bottle. Slightly hazy deep golden color with thick fluffy head. Bread and overripe banana in the aroma. More banana and bread in the flavor along with wheat, honey and some clove. Soft and oily mouthfeel. Overripe banana note is unpleasant.

bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a two finger head and a wheat, yeast, and banana aroma. The flavor is sweet with quite a lot of banana in it. It has an interesting but seemingly unbalanced flavor to go with a light mouthfeel that at least didn’t strike me as watery. It’s ok, but there a many better hefeweizens.

12oz flip top bottle labeled 10.18.08. Poured a medium and cloudy yellow color with a huge sized head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, and some light citrus. Tastes of wheat, bananas, and cloves. The tastes where thin and weak, especially compared to the aromas.
