3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap a Cardinal Pub, Stavanger. Quite ordinary weissiber, but I like ordinary weissbiers. Very refreshing and drinkable, but lacks the little extra to stand out from the crowded weissbier-field...

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy dark gold with a white head, aromas of clove, banana and a little lemon, more banana on the palate but with a faint tartness and a dry grass hop bitterness. The combination is interesting but disconcerting, as is the hay and dry banana finish.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. A little Weissbier from the North of Germany. Very treacly sweet aroma, fairly cloudy body, very light taste with a bubblegum feature and a spicy finish. Interesting little beer, it doesn’t taste too dissimilar from many average light and treacly English ales such as Fullers et al in my opinion, it certainly doesn’t taste like your average Weissbier! I really don’t get many of the characteristics of a Weissbier off of this at all. Would be a nice beer for someone in Germany longing for an English ale or someone into that style looking for an easy transition into the German beer market.

5.1% take out from the World Beer Museum. Quite a clear pour for a weizen. Nice fruity taste, possibly peach notes? The flavor is sweet & spicy with hints of bubblegum. A nice weizen.
