The german wheat beers are travelling north. This fairly new wheat sets itself apart from the typical bavarian by its unique taste and the typical flensburger bottle.

Weizen beer. Small head and orange body. Banana and clove aromas typical of the style but also bread and roasty nuances. In mouth it is disappointing. Light body (watery) and very weak taste. Dry beer and acid sensations are dominant. Flavor is weak and sort. Not recommendable beer. Filip

Towering, utterly dense yellowish head, with shards of lace over well-carbonated orange-golden beer. Essential banana (quite ripe). Further fruity notes (citurs), and warm wheat. Sweet first (banana), going over in more spicy, drier, grainy and estery notes. Faint nutmeg and ditto pepper. Citrus and wheat. MF is a bit thin, nearly overcarbonated, watery. Decent Weizen, absolutely nothing more.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a big white head. Aroma is yeasty clove with some honey notes. Flavor is rather sweet peaches with some bubble gum notes but not very prominent. Medium mouthfeel, a bit boring.

500ml swing-top bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger white head that has decent retention and leaves some spotted lacing behind. Aroma is cereal grains and orange with some herbal and yeast notes. Taste is a grassy and herbal hop bitterness with a fruity and malty sweetness. Light bodied with good carbonation. A nice beer that suits the style well and is quite drinkable.

A very cloudy, gold-yellow colored beer with a dark-golden colored core in the upper part of the glass. The famous, malty banana-like aroma is also quite present, but it has an extra sweet touch added to it. It tastes quite pilsener-like bitter, but in the aftertaste does the malt makes a nice comeback!

Not a beer I will remember for very long I think. Some nice notes in spices and citrus. Bottle is cool. For the life of me cannot remember where I got this.

33cl bb03/16, Edeka way up North. Banana peel, ripe apple, sweet almond in aroma travel transparantly into taste on a slick, oily mouthfeel. Spicy clove and pepper in finish. All traditional elements in place, no heroics, some ponderosity.

A little disappointing beer experience if you expect a good German weiss bier. It has the classic fragrance of wheat, a little taste of the banana and coriander. It is far from being as rich and tasty as other German weissbiers, but the thirst-quenching and easy to drink.
