FatTony (106), Augusta, Georgia, USA Mar 28, 2008 12 ounce bottle- poured out a slightly hazy, tea color. Very deep head. Aroma was sharp with a sour smell. Taste was about the same. Some hint of cider, maybe. Flat, unappealing. Skip it.

Bottle brown, 330 ml 11.8 P
Appearance: Pours orangy - lemon body colour with slightly hazy texture but not that hazy or cloudy as many other German Hefeweizens, carbonation is of a natural origin and the beer is gently sparkling, so also lower intensity in carbonation as compared to others Weizens. Head is white, frothy, initially big but not huge and slowly decreasing to minimal, no lacing.
Aroma: Grainy, bready (dark brad), toasted malts, wheat, gentle notes of banana, clove and orange peal, some gentle hoppyness in aroma also gives some signs but it is dominated by the general and overwhelming malty - wheaty sweetness. Some notes of caramel, definitely sweet aroma, very well pronounced.
Flavour: Very well pronounced wheat and barley, yeast, creamy texture, not wattery, towards the medium it becomes accidic, nice baked white bread, rolls, some flowery notes of aromatic hoppy nose. Finish duration is medium to long.
Palate: Body is medium, a bit creamy, carbonation on palate is mild, finish feel is medium accidic, slightly creamy, mild with aromatic hoppy nose.
Fruitfly (29), , Pennsylvania, USA Jul 29, 2008 33cl swing top bottle. Fresh and light wheat and yeast aroma. Light body, little maltiness and sweetness to match. No bitterness. Could match a heavy meal well. pojo41 (296), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jul 23, 2008 Bottle.
Poured with a nice fluffy white head that lasted and made a decent lacing on my glass. Hazy gold-orange color. Aroma of banana with a touch of clove. Kind of subdued flavor of same with a bit of wheat bite. Pretty good mouthfeel makjes it easy drinking. Not bad but, not great either. KimJohansen (3026), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden with large white head. Sweet yeasty with banana and wheaty notes. theisti (1014), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jul 14, 2008 355 ml bottle from Specs Liquors in Houston, TX. 08.06.09 stamped on the bottle. Pour is a hazy golden yellow with a one inch white head. Fine carbonation bubbles rise to the top of the glass. Head leaves behind some nice lacing. Aroma of musty, sweetly ripe bananas. Some clove yeastiness. Taste is more of the banana, some lemon citrus and earthy yeastiness to the finish. The banana sweetness is pretty strong throughout, and is a bit overbearing. I get a bit of yogurt in it as well. Palate is medium, a bit flat.
