The strongly spicy Bock with pleasant mildness. A full-bodied specialty for dark days and frosty nights. Seasonally available only in winter.

A nice and, for once, simple bock bier. The bottle design is great and I'd say this is kind of a mainstream bock. If you're new to the style this is what you're looking for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 12.01.15. Clear, pale golden. Dimunishing off-white head. Sweetish aroma, with a hint of malt and alcohol. Similarly sweet, and slightly fruity, taste. A bit unfresh.

Bottled at Cardinal. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of marzipan, dark fruits and alcohols. Taste is well balanced, sweet fruits and light bitter spices. Not bad.

Pretty timid in flavor for something listed as "strongly spicy", reminds me of a standard American lager like PBR and the like more than any seasonal German bock.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2014 Ok . To be honest, I buy this beer at my local s/market on price alone. It actually has a rather old mouldy taste, however with its 7 % alcohol content I can kinda live with that in a 330ml ceramic top bottle, that I can pass on to my eldest lad for his home-brewing.

Borostyán színű főzet tipikus bak illattal, melyben a vajas, tejkaramellás jelleg dominál egy egészen halvány sültes, némi pirított magvas, aszalt gyümölcsös mellékzöngével. Lager alapokon álló, meglehetősen élénk és közepesen telt, enyhén száraz ital olvasztott cukros, vajkaramellás, tejszínes színezettel és egy árnyalatnyi alkoholossággal fűszerezve. Téli esték szimpatikus kísérője.

dough, bubblegum, waft up from the pale gold body the head has vanished even as i type, medium sweetness, salty, quite rich tasting the flavour escapes me fro the minute... like an exceptionally mild cough syrup? full body, thick feel, soft carbonation, despite the other ratings this is nice well worth trying! bottle from beers of europe.

I bought this on a whim, not really knowing quite what to expect. I found it a major let down in all honesty. It is malty and sweet but with an unpleasant taste and texture which kind of reminds me of over cooked cabbage. It is drinkable but I cant imagine myself wanting to drink many. I cant see myself wanting to drink this again in future.
