Scopey (7183) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2013
Bottle at Bruce’s. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, icing sugar, vanilla, light toast, caramel and honey. The taste is sweet dough, sugar, light toast, spice, earth, brioche, candy and dried fruit with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Doesn’t do much for me. So-so.

Bottle at Bruce’s - London. I got this one in Austria. Vintage 2011. Pours clear, deep gold with a fine, creamy white head. Sugary bread on the nose, some caramel, hints of tangerine. Medium sweet flavor, light dry bread and caramel, some semi-dry fruits, dates. Light to medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Sweet finish, further bready malts, hints of caramel, semi-ripe fruits. Very drinkable. Lovely.

thanatosti (957) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 27, 2013
33 cl. bottle @ Marijn. Old yellow with a white head. Spicy malty aroma. Caramel in the taste. The alcohol is very wel hidden making this a dangerous easy to drink beer. Nice heller bock.

berkshirejohn (4645) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 17, 2013
33cl swing-top bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton. Rather explosive on openning, but I got most of it into a pint glass - a brilliant amber body with a billowing white head, looking rather like shaving foam; the aroma is yeasty with perhaps a touch of coriander; soft in the mouth, with a caramel malt taste, and a fairly oily consistency; and lacking any real finish.
