Cloudy, golden color. Very nice and stable white head. Smell of fresh grass and herbs. Taste is a little bit sweet in the beginning. Good balanced bitterness. Very nice.

Geruch getreidig malzig, leicht fruchtig, herb. Geschmack hopfig bitter, gering fruchtig, getreidig, ganz ok!

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for this bottle! Fresh and smooth beginning. Not too hoppy, not too crisp. Quite malty sweetish for a Pils, in the aftertaste nice bitter hops, but the body is for my idea of a great Pils too malty-sweetish. But round and highly drinkable. Not bad!

bottle from Bierpost. Hazy golden yellow with a mid-sized white head leaving lacework. Resiny hop aroma, very promising. Full-bodied, bitter-sweet with a delicious and almost chewable malty base, loads of resiny and piney hops with a lingering bitter finish. This is seriously good stuff - not for the average Warsteiner-Pils-Trinker. Good, good, good!

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow colour with a huge, creamy head. Has a pleasant aroma of pale malt, some sweet corn, grass, wet hay and some DMS. The flavour has an acidic touch at first with lemon tones. Towards the end there’s some hay and pale malt. Disappointing. Slick mouth feel with astringency, and has a light bitterness. The aroma was nice and balanced but the flavour is totally way out with lots of unpleasant acidic tones.

Fein.

When opening a bottle of Pils you know what you get and you should also be ready for a Pils. You don’t drink a Pils because you want to enjoy a very good beer, no, most times you should be very thirsty and are looking forward to replace your boring glass of water. There is just the question, if the Pils is good or bad. This one (bottle from Culchiem - many thanks!) is clearly one of the better Pils’. It pours out in the typical clear golden colour with airy low head and medium to crisp body. Aroma of hops and citrus. Taste of fresh, bitter hops, straw, grass, citrus, thyme and light green nuts. Light strawy and medium-bitter finish. Easy to drink, very refreshing. A very nice Pils. Not too metallic like many others and also not too sweet. Very well-balanced refreshness.
