Wow, what a head - poured about a half of a pilsner glass full and the head almost overflowed the glass. This has a beautiful reddish copper color. A very nice flavor and a very smooth taste. Two thumbs up

Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. Deep amber body that has some copper tints. The thin off white head is lightly khaki and yellow. The aroma has some light notes of plums and bread. There is some caramel. The taste has some light notes of iced tea and caramel. Very sweet, this is pretty good for a bock brew. However, it is just too sweet overall for my taste.

Dec 31, 2007 12oz - Aroma is toasted caramel malt, toffee and earthy hops. Pours transparent red-brown with a small head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is sticky and smooth. A good example of the style and an overall good brew. I like it when a random single turns into a winner. Keep it up guys.

Jul 31, 2007 Draft sample at MBGF07. Poured clear dark brown with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Solid balanced toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Moderate balanced smooth flavor with a medium sweet malty finish of average duration. My expectations were met.

Apr 29, 2007 This beer pours a lovely clear reddish-orange color with a medium thin bone white head that sticks around. Stringy lacing. Toasted malt, caramel and hops in the nose. Medium-bodied and clean with sweet caramel malt, hops and light sweet fruit flavors. The finish is sweet up front and leaves a nice hoppy aftertaste. Overall this was a pleasant surprise, especially considering I am pretty unfamiliar with the style.
