Bouteille 33cl, BB 01/2015.

Bottle. Black color with almost no head. Lots of hoppy notes, tropical, pine. Big coffee and strongly roasted notes. Taste is quite bitter with light sweetness, later light sourness. Medium body, light carbonation. Ok beer but a bit one dimensional.

On tap at la fine mousse. Pours dark, beige head with large bubbles. Aromas of heavy roast, dark chocolate, molasses. Taste is sweet, caramel, with hints of ripe fruits. Finish is syrupy (over roasted) espresso. High alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle 33cl, a deep dark beer almost without head. Nose is heavy on roasted notes with dark coffee and soy sauce touch. Aroma is sweet with dark coffee, dark chocolate, roasted notes on an oily body, off course long roasted aftertaste, expresso. Fruit yeast notes on apricot and peach, sweet vanilla, touch of licorice, quite strong roasted beer for a French brewery, but very pleasant.

(Draught at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels, 23 Oct 2013) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, cocoa and creamy coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, black rye bread and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite well balanced, with alcohol well hidden behind everything else. Very nice.

(Rating #4922)

Deep dark body with light brown, stable head. Lots of milk chocolate, forest malts, brown sugar and herbal hops. Not fresh like an America ipa. Taste is funky, light bitter and sour. Very interesting yet probably not as intended. I like it though. However the super high abv doesn’t seen necessary. Please bring that done and it’s a very recommandable beer. (33cl bottle from Bière Révolution)

Bottle at home, 29th June 2013. This pours deep black, aroma is musky hops and malt, some chocolate. Fairly light for the ABV and drinks below this, not bad, but maybe overkill, the bitterness really lingers, not overalls sweet because of this, reasonably balanced, not bad
