Too much carbonation, making it difficult to drink. The date was Ok, but we had to wait 15minutes before beiing able to drink it.. But impressed at the end. Y

Bottle 33cl, a clear copper-amber beer with medium head. Nose is on fresh hops and resin. Aroma is on caramel, hops bitterness, resin, honey, toasted malt, notes of grapefruit. Long bitter aftertaste, a very nice and properly done pale ale with lot of hops of course.
There is 120 IBU there but very drinkable.

19-OCT-2013, bottle @Mortens.
Amber with lasting, lacing tan head.
Aroma is mainly oxidized stuff. Madeira, Nail polish remover. Definately sick. Taste the same. This is a Flemmish red!!!
Not inteded but hey, it’s actually not too bad. Quite complex. Not an IPA but something equally interesting:-)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Brewberry, Paris. Dark amber colour, a bit hazy with white head. Aroma is bitter with herbs, hops and grapefruit. Taste is medium bitter, a bit bread-like and yeasty, the hops are getting weak as we come to the harsh finish. Not too amazing beer, but still a good one.

2012-09-05, bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris; bb Mar 2014, 7-4-7-4-14=36
Hazy light amber color with medium sized head. Some aroma of caramel, malt, and some perfumy hops, a bit of fruitiness from them. Caramel and malt flavor, some biscuit, with light residual sweetness, on the edge of the American crystal malt beers, but better, with some fruits from the hop, and apparently much less than the disclaimed 120 IBUs. It has some of the profile characteristics of a Double IPA, but not the strength.
Pleasant, but not as fresh as an IPA should be, not as bold as a true Double IPA (which is not).
2012-07-03, bottle at Hoppy Loft, Brussels, 7-5-7-4-14=37
Beautiful red-amber color; creamy head. Malt and cheese aroma. Some caramel flavor, the mouthfeel is quite round, but also kind of dry; it has strong bitterness, some piney resins and light cheese touch; there is a roasty note out of tune, and moderate sweetness later.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2012 15 cl. draft // Fleurac tasting @ Delirium Hoppy Loft // same recipe as “L’Amerindienne”, different malts // (a) dark amber with a lambic head // (s) sweet, caramel, gummy bears, candy (dominating), it is the malts that dominate, I suppose // (t) sweet caramel upfront, candy & candy sugar, gummy bears, followed by mutter down & completely contrasting, grassy & herbal bitter hops, slightly linger, very weird & clashing combination, liked it definitely more than “L’Amerindienne”, because of the gummy bears, you know // (b) touch light, near touch watery, low carb, quite oily // weird stuff // had this one again together with ajax25g & Sebletitje // courtesy of Antoine // split a 33 cl. bottle // I should probably down rate this based on the bottle but I will leave the original rating // smells like stale seawater, seriously, no hops this time around, if any the seawater block everything, dear lord, weird & not particularly appetizing, truly fascinatingly weird // taste is similar to draft one, no sea water luckily here, beer is definitely down a notch here from the already not so stellar draft one // not crazy about this brewery, that is for sure, coffee stout was okay but more like real coffee than coffee flavoured, they did use coffee basically instead of brewing water to make it, Octo was enjoyable but definitely not worth the price tag it usually commands
