In mouth : body really thick, light acids, aroma of toasted malt, burn smelling. Coffee seed, strong presence of alcohol. After, some aroma of chocolate malt and colf coffee stay a long time on the mouth. Really appreciate concept, you need to taste that one, do not serve too cold. Take time to enjoy this one =)

Strange perfumey flower chocolate nose. Dry, thin and lots of grainy, spent roast. None too pleasant.

Purchased at La Cave a Bulles in Paris, FR; enjoyed at my home in Chicago, IL on a nice lazy Sunday afternoon. Appearance is a thick pitch black with a very small off white rim around the glass. Aroma is rich in chocolate, almost like chocolate cake, with large lactose notes as well as robust coffee notes. Taste is decent, very thick, with huge chocolate notes. It’s good stuff but nothing exceptional, it’s more like a dessert beverage than a brew, if that makes sense. Still, happy to have tried this.

(33 cl bottle from Saveur Biéres; BBD: January 2014; S3) Pours black with big, toffee head. Decent retention, good regeneration and lace. Aroma is perfumy, malty with coffee notes. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a sweet, roasted malt finish. Taste is dark, roasted malt with notes of cola.

Dark brown and medium light brown head. Smoke, bit burned, donuts, sticky dried figs and coffee cake. Fairly smooth body with a light bitter chocolate base and a hint of sourness. Nice palate of small carbonation and light roasted tones. Not too surprising though. Enjoyed drinking this, but not very special. (33cl bottle, from Brewberry)
