2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 KnutAlbert (4613) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 4, 2012
Aluminium bottle from a German airport.
Dak gold, floral hops. On the sweet side. Unremarkable, unoffensive.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rodenbach99 (1927) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 17, 2010
Bouteille d’aluminium, avec une belle étiquette. Bière blonde forte malté, un malt liquor mais brassée avec des levures de basse température. ordinaire.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 KAggie97 (3288) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - JUN 3, 2005
First aluminum bottle I ever had, thanks to a kindly Marine family in Boblingen, Germany. Pours yellow with a slight head and the flavor is a mixture of hops and straw. Not particularly inspiring, but a valiant effort nontheless. Alcohol is very noticeable.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 10, 2004
I had this beer many years ago at one time when I was only giving ratings to the beers but was too lazy and stupid to write down my thoughts. I will update this as soon as I get my hands on this beer again.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 omhper (15964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 24, 2003
Comes in a wacko aluminium bottle. They obviously has spent much more money on the packaging than on ingredients or training for the brewers. The nose is full of alcohol and grain. Pours pale yellow with brief head. It is thin, unclean and fruity with cloying sweet finish.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - FEB 23, 2003
My parents bought me this beer in Berlin in 'das Kaufhaus am westen' or something like that. Bonus points for the interesting bottle (my bottle has another picture) But i do not completely understand what aviation has to do with beer.
Indeed just another strong, too alcoholic pilsener. Indeed a bit more sweet and fruity. Alcoholic palate.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jerohen (1793) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - FEB 20, 2003
Typical pilsener appearance, clear golden with rapidly disappearing head. Strong and sweet nose and flavour, obvious alcohol. Should be different from "Engel La Bière de la Grande Armée" and "Engel Frohe Weihnachten", but that's perhaps only by the label.
