Bottle from new Burbage Co-op: drinking it right now. Misted gold with a low white head. Rustic, fruity aroma suggesting Fruit Salad chews, farmyard and overripe strawberry. Deep nut husky bitterness overlaid with fruit salad and yeasty apple peel notes that are not obviously US or citrus-accented. Aftertaste of slightly smoked, pungent nuttiness. More hairs-on-chest bitter bitter than golden ale but pretty decent.

Bottle. Cloudy orange headless ale with gentle carbonation. Grapefruit and ginger beer aroma. Bitter, dry and very hoppy grapefruit taste but well balanced with some citric sweetness. This is excellent.

Bottle. Golden with a large rocky head. Aromas are caramel and oranges with some woodiness. Yeasty with gentle spices and floral, citrus notes. Flavours are dry with spritzy yeast and low lemon bitterness. Oranges with wheat malts. The yeastiness is a bit much but this isn’t bad.

Cask conditioned Handpump Ale Wagon Leicester. A golden beer with an off-white head. A bit fusty and farty. Reasonable bitterness and orangey hops but it’s all a bit tired. Average.
