Draft... Clear, deep, dark mahogany ale with a short-lived, white head. The bouquet is a malty blend of caramel and roasted barley. Full-bodied and creamy with stinging carbonation. The flavor is medium sweet, lightly nutty and caramely with a rumor of phenolic spiciness. Finishes malty, mildly sweet and a hint minerally.

Dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty scent, also caramel. Sweet, dry, grainy taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high dry bitterness.

Very dark brown but still translucent. Off white head. So cool I can’t smell the aroma much. It tastes like a straight up amber lager albeit a strong one. I can’t find much Scottish character in this brew but it is a little bit peaty on the finish.

The aroma is malty and very earthy. The color is a clear deep brown with no head or lacing. The taste is malty, nutty and earthiness. Rich The mouthfeel is medium bodied and medium carbonation. Overall this was a good tasty beer. Well done.

Clear dark amber color with ivory sheen. Big nutty, roasty aromas with some toffee. medium body. Lightly sweet spicy toffee, nutty flavors, smooth finish--almost good.

Dark mahogany pour, no real head. Dark fruit, wood, and malt in the nose. Smooth malt and caramel across the tongue with a hint of hops. Finish is clean and a little sweet. Nice beer for malt lovers.

Poured a deep garnet with no head. Malty nose. Palate a bit thin for style.

tap at the brewpub. brown with a cream head. nose is rich malts, light peat, and faint smoke. easy on the palate, faint caramel, smokey finish, and rich malts.

Pint glass at the joint- served a transparent light maroon color with tints of brown. Aroma of toffee with a little bit of peat. Hits the mouth with a light medium body, malt is firm with some very light notes of peat and a fart worth of sweetness. Yeah, that works.
