Aroma had good hop character but with a staleness. Color was orange with an off white head. Taste was sweet with a good amount of hop zest. Finish was semi-bitter with a lasting sickly sweetness.

Draft at source. Aroma is floral with light citrus. Very clear deep yellow to gold. Tight white head. Laces well. Taste is also a mix of floral and citrus. Iím getting a feeling there was a sale on floral hops when they made this. Obviously ibsoukd like to see a lot more citrus and tropical hop flavors.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours mostly clear amber. Aroma is floral and citrus notes, faint detergent smell, and some caramel malt. Flavor is hop forward but one dimensional with muddle hop flavors that come off as generic with a little bit of malt sweetness to add depth. Medium body.

Tap @brewery taproom
Clear pale amber color, steady white head, lace. Citrus, some fruityness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Citrusy, a bit fruity, nice hoppyness, but weak on malt side. Spicey, bitter aftertaste. Ok.

12 oz. pours foggy, orange-peach colored with a lasting sticky disc of foam. Nose is a sweet muddle of pineapple hard candy and caramel icing, tempered only slightly by hints of lemon and green herb. Flavor is dirty orange toffee with weak notes of resin, minty green herb and wood. Light-medium body has a smooth medium carbonation and a decent balance.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery taproom.
Medium amber and clear body with good clarity and an excellent and durable off-white head.
Aroma. nice malty aroma with plenty of sweet caramel ... but from an "IPA"? Some hop presence, but dominated by the malts.
Flavor: High malt load and balance as expected from the aroma, but thereís a clear hop presence worthy of an APA (but not an IPA). Mild-medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel: smooth and somewhat creamy with fairly soft carbonation.
Overall; tasty but not true to style.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
BJCP 2015 Category: 21A American IPA
AROMA: Sweet, clean, floral aroma with some orange sherbet notes. 9/12
APPEARANCE: Flame orange, mostly clear. Slow CO2 visible. Pours to a large beige, foamy head. Great retention and lacing. 3/3
FLAVOR: Fairly strong bitterness throughout. Flavors of citrus peel and orange-flavored candy. Amber maltiness offers balance but not a malty beer per se. Enjoyable palette, but familiar. 15/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium body; fairly chewy/viscous mouthfeel. Minor alcohol warmth. Hops linger in aftertaste and are somewhat astringent. 3/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Traditional, familiar American IPA in all aspects. Plenty to enjoy, but nothing that amazes. 7/10
TOTAL SCORE: 37/50

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Rated on 02-10-2016 (Bottle) This beerís appearance is a medium sized white head that is mostly lasting, hazy golden body, slow rising carbonation, floaties galore, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, earthy and malt. The flavor presents moderate bitterness, citrus hops, fruity, lightly earthy, and some malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, a very carbonation IPA with more bitterness than hops. At least in this bottle. This IPA is not the best IPA that I have drank/rated by any means.
