COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark as the midnight sea, this medium bodied porter combines flavors from 8 malts, including 4 distinct chocolate malts (Victory, Chocolate, Rye and Midnight Wheat) with fresh nugget and cascade hops that work together to form a harmonious balance of aroma and flavor. Imparting a dry roasted malt character, with subtle hints of cocoa, licorice and toffee, this brew possess a balanced hop spice and malty finish.

Pours dark brown with thin tan head. I was not expecting much from this brand but damn this was good, awesome coffee and espresso flavor, with chocolate and hops in there also. This surprised me it was really good.

Bottle-I like the Coke description, that’s just how it looks. The head was small and a light tan color. The flavor is mostly malt with a some chocolate highlights. Average porter, but above average beer.

Looked like a glass of coke with a small wispy head. Aroma is a bit metalic with roasty chocolate notes. Flavor is roasty malt and chocolate with a decent light finish.

Aroma complexity complex for me here. Got malty mild sweet licorice, Yeasty, bitter, man each time I put the nose in the glass something different. Dark body with tan head. Flavor had some bitter bite at first then the rosted malts and chocolate flavors came into play and subsided the bittness. Malty chocolate aftertaste. Good Brew.

Small light brown head, fair retention with a stringy lace. A black brown colored brew. Nose is mildly caramelly, lightly roasty. Body is medium, palate is lightly creamy. Nice chocolate flavor, roast, coffeeish and a fair amount of caramel. Finish is medium dry. A groovy little Porter! Thanks Degarth!

Bottle: Courtesy of Degarth via trade. Aroma is very roasty (grain) and nutty. Pours a dark reddish-brown with some transparency and decent off-white head. Sweet and fruity up front with some roasted grain. Finish is a tad sour with some nuttiness and metallic flavors.

12oz bottle via trade with Degarth - Thanks Joe! - Pours brown with a short tan head. Looks more like a brown ale than a porter in the glass. Aroma is toffee, some grass, and something sour. Flavor is roasty, malty and sweet, notes of chocolate, nuts, toffee, and a little bit of butterscotch and some brief hops on the finish. Palate is thin but it is a little creamy. Not terrible, but seemed more nutbrown than porter to me. I like my porters a little heavier.

.Color is lighter for a porter. Aroma has some toffee. Head was creamy but short lived. Taste started out a bit butterscotch like. Then got way off, some sour, and some metal. Overall, not a great porter, but still in the dark family, and I likem dark. Thanks Degatrth

color is chestnut rose, short creamy light tan head. aroma is light toffee malt, a little straw/grassy sourness. mouthfeel is light but gets a little creamy, carbonation is high. flavor starts malty sweet and a little nutty like a brown ale, but then goes sour & bitter/dry like a lager and then goes metallic. Thanks Jenny9000 for hand carrying this from FL, you’re my sweetheart!
