2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and hints of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with a dusyt hop note, and a slight acidity. In my mouth this is not a Porter but closer to being a Brown Ale.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Rather light-bodied with notes of roasted malt and a vague, burned edge. Very subdued bitterness. All right, but not much of a Porter. 290806

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Light brown head. Sweetness, cocoa and vague roast in the aroma. Quite bland and vague. Sweet and syrupy flavour. Loads of brown suger (too much IMO). Vague chocolate notes and a slight touch of roast. Light bodied and watery. Sweetish bitter end.

This is the same beer as the beachside porter, I have had both....not bad at all. My detailed tasting notes are listed under the beachside porter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours blackish, but a gorgeous deep ruby through light, with 2-finger khaki head. Aroma of roasty malt, chocoff, grapes, berries, brown sugar. Tastes vinous, with grape and berry, plus some roasty malt, chocolate syrup, and brown sugar. Good complexity and balance. Smooth and eminently quaffable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Maple syrup, creamy chocolate malt aroma. Dark reddish brown color with small but persistant head. Smooth, creamy chocolate malt flavor with a hint of grapes in the finish. A very nice tasting porter - on the light side.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Degarth. Pours brown with a rocky head. Smells nutty with some roasted elements. Tastes soapey with some mellow fruity notes. Strage metallic aftertaste I couldnít get away from and there were also some weird bubblegum and spicey notes present.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear amber with tan head. Doesnít look as dark as most porters Iíve tried. The aroma is roasted malts, molasses, mild caramelization and no real sign of even faint burnt malts. The taste is mildly roasty with some just as mild burnt malts, faint earthiness, some kettle caramelization and notes of grainy malts. Pretty nice but not much of a porter influence as I think a porter would taste like, in my opinion.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Pours a black color, nice tan head. The nose is rich and creamy with a moderate roast character, some sweet chocolate and light coffee. The flavor is balanced, tangy and a bit like licorice. I like to see the roast held back on a porter and this accomplishes just that. Nice porter.
