COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florida Beer Company’s Sunshine State Pils is being brewed in the style of a Northern German Pils. These beers tend to have a higher more aggressive bitterness, slight mineral characteristic and very light body that can be described as clean, crisp and leaving a pleasant hop bitterness lingering on the palate. Between the use of German noble hops and our extra pale pils malt one can expected a light, approachable craft pilsner that is perfect for the Florida spring and summer seasons. ABV: 5.0% IBU: 42-45

16oz draft at Beach Club. Poured a clear straw yellow with a smaller to average sized bright white creamy head. Aroma of grains, straw, green grape skins. Medium body, creamy, average carbonation. Flavor of breads, corn, rice, green grape skins, grass. Not bad.

Poured a golden yellow color with aromas of grass, light floral esters, some malt, and a touch of grain. Flavors match the aromas, decent pilsner, better than most.

jbruner (2316) - Athens, Georgia, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Pours a clear golden yellow on tap with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma is crisp malt, nice light yeast esters, and good floral and grass hop presence. Taste follows, hints of bitterness, yet clean and crisp. Bubbly carbonation, refreshing if not a bit dry, nicely done for the style.

emacgee (4024) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Pours a soft and pale straw blonde with a thin and fizzy white head. Nose is grassy and bready with a light metallic note. Sweet malt notes. Flavor has a very moderate bitterness to back the lightly toasted and sweet malt character. A bit dry.

Can pour. Clear golden color with ivory head. Peppery, salty, dusty pils malt aromas. Medium bodied with average co2. Dry bready malt, peppery, spicy flavors with a crisp, bitter finish___not bad.

A pretty tasty pils, with lots of toasty bready notes throughout. Quite good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Pours a brilliantly clear light yellow with minimal white head. Moderate lacing. Nose is grassy with some hay. Missing that cat pissy aroma like prima pils has. Taste is initially bitter with a slight saltiness. Definitely focused on the hop bitterness. Hop flavor seems overpowered and just grassy like the aroma. Drying finish from the bitterness. Gets a little seemingly sweeter as you drink it. Probably just acclimating to the hop bitterness.
