COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Florida Beer Company’s Sunshine State Pils is being brewed in the style of a Northern German Pils. These beers tend to have a higher more aggressive bitterness, slight mineral characteristic and very light body that can be described as clean, crisp and leaving a pleasant hop bitterness lingering on the palate. Between the use of German noble hops and our extra pale pils malt one can expected a light, approachable craft pilsner that is perfect for the Florida spring and summer seasons. ABV: 5.0% IBU: 42-45

Beer buddy description is dead on. A better than average pils. Seems most Pils are rated low on BB ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear, bubbly straw yellow with a thick and rather persistent creamy white head that pillows. Crisp, malty aroma is quite strong and has a hoppy hint. Flavor is crisp and refreshing, not complex but one does not expect complexity from a pilsner. It sure takes the edge off a Georgia (or Florida) scorcher! Texture is thin and not very fizzy, but when the mouthfeel is a beer’s weakest feature, big fat hoppy deal. Come to the Florida pilsner tree!

Good middle of the road lager with a bready maltiness and some dry bitter hops on the finish. Light bodied and a little watery.

Tap. Pours a clear light gold body with a small wispy white head that faded to a thin covering. Another buttery diacetyl bomb as far as the aroma goes. Sweet and buttery with no redeeming beer qualities at all as far as the flavor goes as well. Pretty awful stuff.

What I'm getting from this beer is a casual drinking beer that I can use to distract me from what I'm doing like watching TV or video games, light malt, crisp hops. Nothing outlandish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
