2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle @ home, courtesy of markwise (I think). Pours a clear burnt orange appearance with a big, cream colored head. Somewhat oxidized, papery, mild caramel, dull herbal aroma. Slightly metallic, cardboard, toasted malty, floral hoppy, boozy flavor. Pass.

Not what I expected from a 10% ipa. Could not get past the aroma, which ruined the whole experience for me

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle pour, looks great in the glass. Light aroma for a 10%. Initial taste was some what malty but opened up a bit after sitting in the glass for awhile. Palate takes awhile to find the hops but doesn't last. A nice attempt at a dipa from fla.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours Golden with a small thin layer of head. Smell: Hoppy and floral very nice. Tastes sharp with some bitter notes with underlying hops and spice. I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. There’s just something about the balance between the bitterness and the hops that I like. A slightly different take on IPAs, and not a bad one at all.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Potent hoppy aroma, poured a nice dark amber color with a thick off white head. This brew is very full bodied and smooth. Nice citrus and honey mixed with the bitter hops. Very well balanced and enjoyable IPA. I am pleasantly surprised

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
23rd April 2012
Very light haze on this gold beer. Little white head. Smooth softish palate, slightly syrupy. Sweet pale malt, creamy with mild caramel but it’s also slightly raw tasting. Strong piney hops with a trace of citrus. Smooth soft finish with mild bitter linger. A good beer undone by too much raw tasting pale malt.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft. Backlog from Oct 2012. Amber in the glass with a creamy off-white head that settled to a ring and left good lace. Very off rubber/burnt plastic aroma with hints of caramel. The flavor found a funky caramel and brown sugar mix with hints of hops and rubber. Medium body and sweet. (Bad keg?)

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
It bad...alcohol bomb...one sided for sure...it does smell initially a hair better than it tastes...the overall best thing about this beer if you had it in bottle form is the label...really cool swamp ape design...if you can finish 12oz you get an extra 5 points...sorry swamp ape...I expected so much more from you...so far my least favorite beer of 2013...will try again in 5 years and look for improvement...I'm sure it can only get better...

I yelled in disgust on the first sip, next sips are very bitter and sweet, didn’t finish.
