April 2010: I buy these sort of beers for my wife when I’m in Belgium and although I’m thanked they rarely get drank by the good lady. This one is no different, I’m having to drink and review it! This is a 330ml brown bottle, just in date and poured into a Duvel glass. A snow white foaming head sat on top of a dull, slightly cloudy, off golden body. I am not the worlds biggest Mango fan, so the smell didn’t excite me, being mostly, well completely actually, Mango flavoured. I bet you can’t guess what the beer tasted of? Yip, Mango’s, I liked it however. No messing around here, the beer delivers what it claims, Mango’s, and Mango’s in an abundance. Nowhere near as sweet as I’d expected, it is sweet, but not sickly or overly so. This would have gone down great with a bowl of plain Ice Cream or a selection of fresh fruits after a god meal. Pleasantly suprised, not too bad at all. I’m even looking forward to my Floris Passion Fruit bottle a little more than I was.

33cl bottle. Light, cloudy golden/orange colour with steady bubbles and a good head. The nose is of ripe mango, as expected. The taste has mango and cream. The palate is medium bodied, creamy and cleansing on the end. Overall, this is not very serious but it’s great fun.

18 May 2011, bottle. pale peach, faintly hazy, some bubbles. sweet mango nose up front followed by a champaign kind of tartness. med/sugary body and slightly fizzy. mango flavour is very sweet and syrupy. not the best. it doesn’t seem artificial but it certainly is sickeningly sweet. not my favourite.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a clear light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is a mix of mango and wheat. The flavor is very strong mango and is very sweet. I also get some wheat and lemons in the flavor, but the mango is the dominant flavor component. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle from Wellington Arms, Bedford. Hazy copper. Fruity aroma of peach and mango. Taste was quite a lot better than I thought it would be. It avoids cloying sweetness, and even has a trace of dryness in the fruity taste. Drinkable.

Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is dominated by mango. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, mango, and straw. Thanks KimJohansen for another Belgian rating!
