1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a very thin off-white head. I expected this one to be pitch black, so it is a bit deceiving. Aroma of an unwrapped tootsie roll. Simply stated, this one smells so strong of milk chocolate candy, you cannot discern any other tastes. It smells so sweet I donít even really want to have a sip. Medium-bodied; Insanely sweet taste that matches the aroma exactly. The sweetness lasts throughout the length of the beer and shows no sign of malt, hops or yeast--just CHOCOLATE! A very crazy beer and one I could drink a LOT less than Cave Creek. This one is pretty bad, but I think itís only because its way too sweet. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 26-November-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle. Slightly hazy dark brown color. Small size, head, disappears. Looks and sounds fizzy. Honey, treacle, chocolate, herbal, fruity notes in aroma. Itís disgustingly sweet for me. Chocolate dust, strawberries, sweet, caramel cake in taste. Weird fruity aftertaste. Not my favorite beer!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
0,33L bottle, BB 06.16 (from Wine of Galilee). Pours hazy brown with beige head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, fruits, malt. Flavor is very sweet, cocoa powder, fruits, caramel, citric notes, mango. Carbonation is high. Body is rather thin. Overall: the whole thing feels artificial, but for some reason I donít mind it.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear, coppery color, topped with a decently sized and lasting off white head. Very pleasant chocolate aroma at the start, followed by some soury fruity/cidery notes. Taste is sweet with lots of chocolate, slight sourness in the finish. A bit weird, unusual, but not bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Dark orange body, small head. Aroma has cheap chocolate candies. Kind of nostalgic. Certainly not as bad as some of you claim. Taste has more cheap chocolate candies but no beery parts. Well, this is certainly not a good "beer" but as an alcopop itís quite palatable and interesting. Easily beats the myriad of lemon and tequila flavoured "party beers" that we get around here. Whatís with the hate here? Iím not sure if I can take you seriously when you find a simple chocolate beer offending. You need to man up, there are much worse beers around.

1.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Almost clear in the glass, dark amber in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma has lots of fake orange milk chocolate, with some peaches and berries. Perfumed too. Rather sickening sweetish, but sort of good. Itís medium bodied and very sweet on the palate, with a low carbonation level. Lots of orange, some milk chocolate. Strange indeed, very strange. 150124

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 1/20
I have to say this looks great. Marzipan, sweet milk, fermenting fruit, hyper sweet. Oh boy... Really, really strange taste. Nothing chocolate about it but rather some milky fruity sweetness. Yuck and it?s gross! For a second I though this would actually come out as interesting, but it?s nothing more than extremely cloying, artificial and gimmicky Belgian swill. (33cl bottle gifted by Sjoerd, many thanks for this fun tick!)
