1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottled. Brown / pink colour with fizzed head quickly dispersing. I have to agree, strawberry syrup / jam, sweet and a little sickly. You could spread this on toast for breakfast. Long sticky finish, not particularly enjoyable.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Evanescent and much receding foam. Clear orange color, turbid and still. Artificial strawberry and lemon juice scent. Sourish and sweetish. Lean taste, notes of vanish yellow fruit juice. Absentee bitter, short persistence.

Draught: Sweet strawberry syrup in both the flavour and aroma. Red in colour with a white head. Looks like strawberrys and cream! Tastes similar.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Strong strawberry jam aroma is sugary sweet. Opaque reddish tan with shy, pink-tinged, large-bubbled, head that diminishes to ring and actually leaves some lace. Strong sweet strawberry jam flavour with some underlying biscuity malt that is more apparent at warmer temperature. Medium-light body with fairly low carbonation. Somewhat watery in texture. Perhaps more for the fruit crowd than the beer crowd. Bottle (Bieropholie - Feb. 2005).

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. Artifical strawberry aroma, like strawberry candy. Flavour is more like a strawberry wine cooler or, as someone said, sherbet. Drinkable, but not good.

For my money, this is the best of Huyghe’s fruit beer range. It’s a beer for the right occasion (you don’t say to yourself, "I feel like a beer - hey, here’s a strawberry wheat beer!") It’s great with a bitter chocolate tart. I served this with that at the end of a beer dinner and the guests loved it. Probably the most popular combination of the entire dinner. I find it too sweet to drink on its own but my girlfriend loves it. It pours a peachy-pink colour with a big fizzy head that laces well. The nose screams strawberries but there are also banana notes and a hint of sherbet. It’s a refreshing summer drink, light in body and zesty. Nice bitter-sweet balance. Sweet and tangy. (Bottle)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy russet body with a huge white head. Smells like strawberry. A lot. Lightly acidic palate. Of the floris fruit beers I’ve tried I think this one works the best. Very little ascorbic acid tang. Quite a realistic fruit flavour. I kind of like this one, although do not drink if you expect a lager style beer.

Bottle, Smokeless Joe’s. Cloudy Orange with red hues. Small white head. Strong strawberry aroma with some ginger in it as well (almost ginger ale like). Crisp mouthfeel. Strong berry taste that blends ok with the little malt base that is here, but it does come off as a little syrupy and artificial at times. A decent fruit beer effort sampled in a non-fruit beer time of year, a Toronto Winter 2004.
