3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy pinkish-red with a thick, creamy, lacy, lasting pink head. Smells of strawberry through and through. Very potent that fills the room. Medium thin body with soft carbonation. Tastes of sweet strawberry, candy “red” with a nice tartness on the finish with some sour notes on the finish. Consistent throughout and not too sweet. Very nice to drink and perhaps one of the best Floris “beers”

Enjoyed on 10/18/2011
Had on tap at Delerium Cafe in Brussels.
I should start by warning that I am not a fan of fruit beers - they are generally too sweet or sour for my palate and I don’t enjoy them. This Floris Strawberry, however, might be the best of the sweet fruit beers I’ve ever had (ignoring the ones like Cantillon that are actually well balanced).
Poured ruby red into a tall pilsner with minimal head. Nose was absolutely blasted with strawberries. Like walking in a field of fruit in spring.
Excellent mix of sweetness and berry tart on the tongue. Supper bubbly, like champagne. The CO2 acidity nicely balances the strawberry sweetness. Very crisp! Perhaps some hint of other berries, possibly black raspberry. Little bit of Rhubarb-like tartness at the end. Just a touch of alcohol lets you know that it is actually a beer.

As a strawberry drink and dessert beer - the best for me. Not subject for taste evalating as a beer, but of course much better than juices of the same taste. Meanwhile has witbier cloudiness (and nice strawberry red color), nice white foam, leaving the rings on the glass.

2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tiny white head, clourdy dark orange colour. Great strawberry aroma (but not a beer aroma at all - I like strawberry, so I’m fine with this). Tastes like sweet strawberry soda - and quite fine as that. Can’t give a good rating, however, since there is nothing "beery" about it.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy strawberry red (no surprise there) with a very strong strawberry aroma. The off-pink head recedes fairly quickly, Almost no lacing. No visible bubbles except when pouring.
Very Sweet Strawberry aroma is unmistakable.
Sweet strawberry taste. Light mouth-feel.Fizzy carbonation.
A very refreshing strawberry drink.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a bright red colour with a slightly red tinged head. Aroma is of course strawberry with little else. Taste is strawberry and more strawberry, tastes a little artificial but still decent enough. About all that can be expected from Floris I guess.

Cloudy strawberry red beer. Softish palate. Fresh sweet strawberry flavour, what else to say? Too much snobbery around these beers. One of these at the end of an evening drinking dark heavy and/or bitter beers is a real relief!
