Super hazy rosy crimsoin coloured body with a thin pink head. Aroma of pure raspberries, caster sugar, lemons, malt and a nice mouthwatering tartness. Medium-bodied; Super sweet-fruity flavour that bodes well. Nice tart finish and some malty notes that end the beer. Aftertaste sweet for a long time! Overall, a great sweet beer that would be an excellent pair with a chocolate dessert. Thanks Jon! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 02-July-2005 at Jon(R888710)’s.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - JAN 13, 2009
Bottle (330ml) 3.6%. Poured extremely dark violet with an averaged sized frothy, light pink head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of wild berry jam with sour blackcurrant sweets and port wine jelly. Flavor was of tart raspberries with a good level of acidity, sour strawberry yogurt, cassis and a very refreshing finish. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation, a tart mouthfeel and a good finish. Much more drinkable than most fruit beers that I have tried, not overly sweet like some.

11.2 ounce bottle from Market Street Wine Shop Uptown Charlottesville, VA. Pours a slightly hazy strawberry red color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is raspberry and apple... very strong. Taste is very sweet raspberries with not much else going on. Medium bodied.

Pours a very effervescent dark amber burgundy color with a pinkish fizzy head with some lasting power. Strong raspberry juicy aroma with some tartness. A nice balance of tart and sweetness. A little malty character too. Sort of syrupy, but does not transfer to the body to much. Finishes light, spritzy, and refreshing.

This beer was a little dark in coulor for a lambic. Nice and sweet balanced with a sour finish. A good framboise.

Muddy dark red beer with light pink head. Flavour is of sweet raspberry, very candy like. Flavour of raspberry and candy sugar. Leaves a tingly finish, quite cloying. Highly carbonated, too sweet for my liking.

Pours pink grapefruit colored with a small off white head. Aroma is rasberry syrup. Taste is tart rasberry and a little wheat. Not bad for what it is I guess.

Floback (550) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - OCT 19, 2008
Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a tiny pink head over a copperish amber body. The nose is sweet with candy and raspberries. Flavors include more raspberries, subtle cherry, and Jolly Ranchers. The mouthfeel is tart, soft, and slightly sour. Unusually thin carbonation for the style. Thin body. A decent fruit beer; there are plenty of others that I prefer over this.

[... and my 100th Fruit beer, the 11th style to reach a century]
Pours muddy, deep red with a small, frothy, pink film head. Aroma is pure raspberries, a bit sweetish. Light mouthfeel that has a grainy edge to it. Flavour is soft, very light tartness, but with a good dose of quite natural berries. Okay beer, actually.
