2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Spiesy (2338) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - JUL 4, 2004
Bottled. Deep cherry red colour with a pink head. Strawberry aroma that isn’t a clear or as strong as some of the other Floris beers. Strawberry flavour with sweet and sour flavour. Palate is ok. [London gathering: Spiesy, Duff, chris_o, Marty-D and SilkTork]

hehehe pink foamy head, that has to be a first for me. Was a little apprehensive with this as Huyghe have done some awful things to we antipodeans. Has a blood red claret colour and the aforementioned pink foam. Smells like cherry lollies. A hint of dryness behind it. Flavour is quite artificial cherry. This is not to say I don’t like it, however it is more in the mode of buying a box of cheap cherry candies than buying a beer to be savored, View my rating as a omparison to buying a couple of bucks worth of cherry filled chocolates or something.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Lubiere (8247) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2004
Cherry red beer with a nose of Halls cherry cough drop. Extremely sweet taste of Slush Puppy cherry flavour, with a tatrt finish. reminds me of my youth drinking fruit flavoured cream soda. Notice, there is an almost cheesy aftertaste in this, and makes you wonder! Still, thanks to Prez.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 rauchbier (3395) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2004
Tap, ZBF 2004. Purple red with a similar colour head and moderate condition. Way too much artificial cherry essence in the nose and mouth with a sweet tangy candy note in the finish. Massively over sweet. Diabetics shouldn't even smell this one.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - APR 13, 2004
Poured clear red with small pink head. Fake cherry aroma dominates. Medium smooth body. Sweet unbalanced cherry flavour all the way through. Not good, though not as bad as expected.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (26267) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2004
An unclear dark red beer with a small pink disappearing head. The aroma is very sweet cherry - too sweet and too simple. The flavor is nicely sweet from cherries. A simple but still nice kriek - although it is on the sweet side.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 mutant (854) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 9, 2004
Shockingly bright pink with very persistant head. Strong sweet cherry aroma. Moderately tart in flavour but then finishes very sweet. The whole thing seems totally artificial.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DougShoemaker (3148) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2004
Fruit candy aroma, pinkish/red, pours a large frothy, long lasting pink head, some pretty lace too. Cherry and mixed berries in the flavour. Light bodied, tart, sweet. A very nice beer for a hot summer day!
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 mullet (849) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 1, 2004
cool red colour, pink head with good retention and lacing. Artificial cherry and marizpan aroma. Tastes similar - sweet, a tiny bit of tartness but I would like way more. I usually don't like 250mL bottles but in this case I think it was just enough before the sweetness became too much.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2004
A witbier, with cherry flavouring. Glacé cherry on the nose, sweet, but with some nice sour edges, but leans more towards the sweet side, some leafy/stemmy flavours. Pretty well balanced and clean and all that, but i'm not really a fan of these sweetened fruit beers. Tastes like candy. Oakes is spot on with the Lifesaver comparison.
