Overpowering sweet cherries in the nose. Opaque red body is topped by a decent pink head that recedes to a lasting cover and sticks to the sides of the glass. Very sweet flavour is like a cherry syrup. Light tartness way at the end of the aftertaste. Medium body with silky smooth texture and soft bubbled effervescence that is very enjoyable. It’s too bad these are so overpoweringly sweet as they are obviously otherwise well-made. Tulip glass. Cellar temperature. Bottle (BB Dec-07, Bièropholie, Aug-06).

as said before favourite of the floris but still i think tooo sweet, when poured out of the bottle it is a wonderful presentation of colour, and the nose is amazing as well.

330 ml. Ok, it’s not a lambic and it doesn’t call itself a lambic so not fair to judge it as more than a cherry beer. In that sense it is a pretty good beer, not great but good. It pours an intense red color with a frothy pink head that fades quickly. Deep, almost sharp lactic-berry nose with a sour candy-like intensity. Cherry flavour up front but fades very fast, clearly no real fruit in here to add depth to flavour. Ends on sweet side with a wee bit of a tingly lingering effervescence. Kinda thin. Has some sourness but could do with more. Made with juice so lacking the pits and skins that would give a refreshing tanic acidity. If initial inviting flavour persisted the beer would be much better. Goes down quickly because of simple profile and very low alcohol. A good starter beer for the kids.

(Bottle) Pours a cloudy ruby body with a small white head. Aroma of Dots candies or Gummi Bears. Flavor of black cherries and sugar. Quite refreshing after a humid day in Beijing.

Bottle. 25/05/06. Brussels. Dense cherry body with small head. Cherry and marachino on the nose. Drinks better than it smells, too weighty, a bit better than most of the Floris beers.

Cherry and marzipan aroma. Cherry red cola colour with a light pink head that was a good size but hardly lasted. Very sweet taste that seems balanced enough and lasts long, hint of sourness on the end, seems ok just not my style of beer. There seems to be some residual sugar still there.

Pours very quickly, if that makes any sense. Thin bubbly head disappears at lightening pace. Strong cherry red hue, a little murky. Lifted, expressive nose, confectionary like with a Dr Pepper, artificial cherry character. Non-beer palate, somewhat tart, but no drive or character. Alcohol is not noticable. Similar to most other beers under the marque but at least it’s not sweet.

rederic (3156) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 22, 2006
Cloudy dark red hue, with a creamy pinkyish head, strong sweet cherry nose, with a spicy marzipan note, touch of acidity, wheaty accent, hint of juicy artificial aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet black cherry fruity character, with some spicy accents of nutmeg, marzipan, sweet cherry concentred juice note, leading towards a faint wheaty, sweet cherryish finish.

Pink head on a dark red body. The result is neither too bitter nor too sweet, a good balance. Altogether a nice Kriek if you like this kind of beer. Refreshing.and nice drinking.

Aroma and flavor is mainly cherry, kind of thin/weak cherry. Finish is a bit sour/citric. Pink head.
