Had a fruit lambic tasting which included Floris Kriek, Lindemans Framboise and Peche. For me, this beer was 2nd. Much duller in colour than i was expecting. More a greyish light red. Sour cherry aroma but a little to much like coff medicine. Flavour was much sour than the other 2 whcih i enjoyed as i didnít like the residual sweetness of particularly the Peche.

330ml bottle. Light red in colour with a pink foam head. Looks more like champagne and has a sour cherry aroma, almost like medicine. Sweet and fizzy like soft drink with a strong vineragy aftertaste. Very unusual.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2009 Nice clear cherry appearance with wonderful pinkish head. Nice cherry smell. Cherry taste was nice but this tasted a little too strong for a beer of only 3% volume. Also I got the impression you would not feel the best after drinking a few of these. It was too sweet although the cherry taste felt more real than in other cherry beers. Overall it smelled and looked great but did not taste too good.

On tap at Bogacs, Hungary, Glass 330 ml.
Appearance: Pours beautiful regular shiny and perfectly clear red body (of cherry colour), carbonation on palate is moderate, head is white, regular in texture, frothy, initially medium, slowly decreasing to small, leaving some lacing.
Aroma: Is practically dominated with natural cherry notes but in fact apart from cherries and cherry juice there is not much, gentle malty background, some yeasty touches, seems like regular, medium bodied beer with cherry background.
Flavour: Medium bodied, quite regular, average lager beer with cherry juice creating well balanced background not overly dominating over the beer - like flavour or palate, sweetness is not too agresive, finish duration is moderate, with notes of yeast, alcohol, cherries and gentle maltyness with corn.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is soft to medium, finish feel is moderately astringent, gently alcoholic, not too sweet.

Bottle @ Metro Billiards. 3%. Fruit beer. Pours a cherry red/pink, with very little foam. Smell is of cough syrup, but taste is surprisingly smooth. Would be a good patio drink, or a nice dessert accompaniment maybe.

Bottle says floris kriek, deep hazy red with nice pinkish head, aroma of sour cherries, nice dry aroma but no beer aromas, flavor of cherry liquor, sour cherry juice not of tobacco driness, again no beer flavors, pleasant bitter sour finish, after all I like this one.

Odd looking cloudy red going brown (more red) with a small pink head that goes to a ring but leaves 360 degrees of excellent lacing. The aroma is very strong with the sweet cherry (sort of has a slight medicinal quality to it to go along with my very first impression - which was of cherry Halls lozengers) which is defenetly not a real cherry flavour. There is a dryness and a honey flavour that is reminding me of some meads that Iíd had to go along with the scent of almonds. Irregardless Iím sure enjoying the smell. The taste is not as large as the aroma but is still very appealling even if quite sweet. The cherry seems a bit more írealí now and stays tart and sour with obvious almond qualities. Very tasty. There is another flavour here but Iím baffled at what it might be...next time hopefully. Light medium bodied, a bit spritzy but still smooth...very mouth smacking..finishes with a lengthy soft cherry aftertaste. Better than the more locally known Belle-Vue Kriek. had to add this.... so, I just finished the Kriek and then I chased it with half a bottle of Sleemans Honey Brown....made it taste like bitter stale dope..so dead on...this might be the worst match up of beers in history.

Man this stuff looks pretty very deep dark red body, and the cap, scratch that for this beer Iíll call it a tiara itís so girly looking, the tiara is very bright pink in color. You can smell the cherry scent of this beer from ten feet away; it reminds me of cherry suckers that you got for Halloween. Wow this stuff is cherry pop with a hint of malt flavor, very refreshing taste. The mouth feel is dry and thin with good carbonation. I canít decide if the beer is more sweet or sour I think Iím leaning towards sour. The taste is exactly like cherry Chiclets. Good refreshing beer and in my opinion way better then Belle-Vue Kriek
