mmm///beer (543), Austin, Texas, USA May 17, 2008 Bottle in trade from stoutlover72- thanks! 11.2 oz bottle poured into flute- poured hazy yellowish orange, heavy carbonation, decent white head that bubbled and laced away. Aroma of sour apples, yeast, and earth. HIts the mouth with a thin body, a little watery on the tongue, noticeable sugar in the middle, notes of apple come through a little awkwardly, finish is dry. It had the makings of a good one from the start, but left a little to be desired in the taste department.
beerguy101 (3478), Newark, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 This fruit beer pours a slightly hazy apple juice color from a 33cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is tart apple juice with some spices, somewhat sweet. A light to medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. It is mostly semi sweet apple flavors, with some spices. Not a lot of beer like quality in this one. It reminds me more of a semi sweet fairly dry cider. Nice carbonation. Nice crisp apple flavors. So does one rate this as a fruit beer, in which case its not going to get a good score; or as a cider in which case it would get better marks. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is sweet. Aroma sweet apples hops.Flavour sweet and smooth, mild wheat taste, maltiness, easy on the taste buds, finish dry and sweet. esjaygee (733), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 14, 2008 Hazy straw yellow with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of apple, grassy hops, cinnamon and yeast. Taste like fresh apple pie filling with cinnamon. Somewhat of a fruit juice feel to it as it’s a little on the sweet side. Finishes apple and slightly dry. Exceeded my expectations, would have this one again. aubreya (670), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jul 13, 2008 Tyler’s Apex Huyghe brunch. The color was a hazy golden. The head was thin, fizzy, and white. The aroma was sweet, strong apple, and belgian. The flavor was the same. The palate was slick with a sweet apple finish.
