On draft at RFD in Washington, D.C. Deep blonde color with a bubbly white head. Sweet aroma full of apples. Kind of like a cider but a little sweeter than such. Nice finish. A good dessert beer.

Had this on draft at the Capital Ale House in Richmond, VA on 11-1-03. Hazy blond body with a rocky white head. Nose is sweet but with a green apple scent dominant. The taste is almost cider like but more sweet and smooth. Has a sweet/sour tongue and a powdery soft mouthfeel. Not chalky but getting close. Finishes sweet also, but with light candy apple notes.

Bottled. Pale yellow with creamy head. Bubblegummy apple aroma. Very sweet, but less cloying than many other Huyghe products. Apple pie with custard - probably a real nice beer (if you don't like beer).

Hazy pale golden. Apple-vanilla ice-creamish and incredibly flavorful, but is it beer? More ciderlike. Reminiscent of my childhoods soda party.

(Bottled) Pale orange, hazy colour. Nice head, good lacing. Big apple aroma. Lots of apple flavour. Too much apple. I kept having apple-burps hours after one bottle.

I think silktork really wanted me to like this, but i just couldn't be pushed that far, candied apple sweetmess, a bit too cloying, unbalanced. there was also some 'unknown' spice in here which me nuffield and silktork tried, but pretty much failed to identify, chrissie even got all the spices of the spice rack to heelp us, but for me, this was to no avail. An enjoayable beer to have, even though i didn't like it.

Very light yellow, slightly hazy. Candy aroma, like pear, honey, and apple pie, with a hint of spice. Very interesting. The flavor is powerfully like Wrigley's Juicy Fruit chewing gum. Sickly sweet. Some apple, especially in the late effervescence. It goes flat quickly, aggravating the sweetness.

Bottle. With Nuffield & Duff. Looks like a rough cider. Bready aroma at first, then comes a touch of caramel. Honey and apples start to come through. Then some warm spices - cinnamon and nutmeg - and a little squeeze of pear. The first gulp is wow! Intense hit of sweetness, then the shock of mixed flavours from the aroma overwhelms and delights. A refreshing woosh! You know when you've been Florised!

Draught version: Very nice wispy white head over a hazy cider/honey colored liquid. Visually very appealing. For me, that's sort of where it stops. Aroma is apple cider, wheat malt, vanilla, a very light clove and get cider vinegarish as it warms. Beer starts out sweet, then gets acidic and tart, but not lambic sour. Cidery flavors creep in and finishes vanilla and sweet, almost to the point of cloying. Highly carbonated and light bodied as a wheat fruit beer should be, but this one does not rate high on my list. Also, not surprisingly, it does not go well with cheeseburgers!!!!!

On tap at RFD in DC: A slight step up from the god awful chocolate one tasted at the RBSG 2003. Appearance was okay, good head and some lacing. Nice apple aroma, hint of yeast and dough. Once it hit my palate things got ugly. Apple juice taste, yuck. Very sweet on the palate, double yuck. This could be a beer my sister, whom drinks malt beverages, may like. Even then, I think she has better taste than this.
