Draught at Capital Ale House in Richmond, VA. Hazy yellow color with thin white head. Rich mosaic of aromas and flavors including sweet apples, cinnamon, yeast, and maybe coriander??? Light, crisp, and bubbly. A bit too sweet for me, but very refreshing.

Draught at Delirium Cafe in Gothenburg, Sweden
Light yellow shady color with a small white head. At first a very sweet artificial apple scent, like sweet cider. But it does have a touch of dry cider in the scent as well. Very sweet apple taste, some bitter flavor, but not much.

(Draft. 03/2006). Aromas of sweet apple syrup. Tastes of sweet apples. Almost cloying. Not bad, but one is definitely enough.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color with a white head. The taste is an artificial apple flavoured body on a thin slight wheaty body.

Ahhh, there’s nothing like a beer layered with fruit juice. Saving the time of doing it yourself a lot of breweries seem to be pumping them out with the vigour of your average lager. I honestly don’t mind these, I just don’t fully understand the concept, or niche market to which they target. Tasted from the bottle into a tall flute. Opaque, muddy looking, palest ’bruised’ apple yellow with fine streams of bubbles failing to raise a head bar a creamy white ring. Tart, sweet, fresh crushed apple nose with a light, musty, dried leaf note underneath. Flavoursome, sweet and tart in the mouth. Apple flavours dominate, but are more candied and artificial than fresh. Rather smooth and syrupy on the tongue; slightly gummy yet subtle enough as to roll down the back of the throat with ease. A strong apple peel flavour came in long into drinking and managed to give it more bounce and bite. Overall it was quite a refreshing beer that would easily make an great afternoon starter. Different!!! (33cL, 3.6% ABV, BBE 04/07)

Light golden color with some white head. A cider aroma with high sweetness typical of Huyghe which detracts somewhat from the overall experience.

Fairly white color with a thin head. A sweet apple aroma. The dominant taste is of sugar with an apple background. Pouring sugar into apple juice will get roughly the same flavor. Certainly overly sweet for a beer.

Greenish pale and slightly hazy. Artificial Granny Smith aroma. Sugary, syrupy apple flavor. Sickly sweet with just a touch of fruity, lemony sourness.
