Hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of grain, spicy (some ginger), floral, bit dusty. Taste is bit sweet, mostly spicy, heavy on the stomach. Not easy drinkable. It lacked the citrus/orange fruity taste.

The head is white, but not very robust. The body has a yellow-brown and cloudy body. There are bigger yeast pieces swimming in the beer. It smells fruity and yeasty. It smells fruity, sweet but also alcoholic, herb and a little bit metallic.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2009 Clear golden blond pale with big foamy head. The foam contains big bubbels, smell copper-like and is very white. The smell is alcohol combined with herbs, as coriander and citrus. In mouth lot’s of carbonation and a some hopbitterness. (it’s the "harsch hop" bitterness, not very pleasant). Aftertaste is alcohol with a little sugar. Simple brew with a lot to discuss about. (looks a lot like Affligem Blond)

75 cl. bottle@my beertasting – sample: clear amber/orange with a white head, dry with bitter honey, too much spice that obliterates much of everything else, Belgian hops bitterness (too much for its own good), yeast, flowers & alcohol, slightly metallic, bit thin, too carbonated, not a very good example of its style & not that good in general

Golden colour and clear. Slightly perfumey aroma with a hint of fruity hop. Very spritzy body - assertively so - with the same bland perfumey character. Underlying sweetness and watery finish.

Dec 2009: Cork and Caged 0.75 litre brown bottle produced for the Delhaize Supermarket chain, this one was bought from their store in De Panne, close to ’Plopsaland’. Poured into four tulip glasses in one pour. Each glass had a slight haze, the sediment stayed mostly in the bottle. True blond in colour and with the normal snow white head. Yeast and hops with a sweet and sour (apples?) aroma from the brew. The bottle had a life until 14 May 2011, so it was young when comsummed (28th Dec 09). Fizzy, crisp and refreshing, but with very little body, flavour or substance. If it had been allowed to age a little it might have been better, but I doubt it. Cheap supermarket beer, the 7% isn’t detectable and the beer was frankly watery.

Taste of alcohol pierces through a thin layer of mouldy malted flavours. Slight iron flavour in the back.

Die vom Doppelbock gesehenen und geschmeckten Dinge kann ich bestätigen, allerdings empfinde ich den Beigeschmack als nicht all zu schlimm. Trotzdem ist das Bier weit davon entfernt gut zu schmecken, es gibt bedeutend bessere Blonde. Zu alkoholisch, zu säuerlich, nicht gut. Had a very bitter anistheticy taste to it. The feel in the mouth was rather dull. On the plus side, has a rather beautiful colour and head. Overall, very disapointing
