A clear red beer with a small white head. The aroma is weird with notes of berries and nuts on a slightly sour background. The flavor is very sweet with notes of berries and nuts on a dry background.

33 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours golden brown with a lacing light orange head. Aroma is sweet caramel malty with a mild spice note. Flavour is sweet caramel malt with a lingering spice note. Finish is mild spiced and soft malty. Lovely.

Bottled. Rubyish brown colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel, alcohol and sweet malts. Flavour is sweet caramel malts along with some mild spicing and alcohol.

Clear orange coloured with an off wihte head.
Sweet fruity aroma with notes of overried fruits.
Flavour of fruits, overriped fruits, berries, spices and hops.
Hoppy finish.

Bottle. Brown colour, unstable light brown head. Aroma has a hint of malt. Good balance between malt and alcohol. Mild flavour, but warming. Nice solid texture.

(bottle) Dark red to amber colour with a big foamy off-white head. Aroma of liquorice and nuts on a malty base. Sweet flavour, malty taste with hints of toffee and a lasting bitter finish.

Rich amber colour with a decent beige head. Sweet yeasty aroma with caramel and spice. Similar flavour with bread, earth and fairly clear alcohol.

Malzig-herber Geruch. Prickelnder, schwer malziger Antrunk, der durch den Alkoholeinfluss sehr schwer wirkt. Auch im Mittelteil bleibt das Bier schwerfällig, der Alkoholeinfluss ist deutlich erkennbar. Eine herb-saure Note mischt sich hier ein, wirkt aber unpassend neben dem schwerfälligen Aroma. Im Nachgeschmack wird ads Bier etwas saurer, die Malzigkeit trockener. Kein Highlight!

Nose of caramalts indeed, also marzipan and walnutoil. Taste rather sweet, then becoming quite bitter (burnt malts, few hops detectable). Fizzy mouthfeel and bitterness disappears to lingering sweetness. Another ’special’ brew for a marketchain, X-mas issue.
