2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 Boutip (3971) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 8, 2013
Bottle: Poured a clear bright golden color pilsner with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of sweet malt with some warming alcohol that can be easily identifiable. Taste is also dominated by loads of sweet notes with light dry hops notes not as clearly identifiable as expected. Body is quite full with somewhat of an oily texture and some good carbonation with too much alcohol that is perceptible though. This beer was too sweet for my own personal taste and with a bit too much boozy notes coming through.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy with a frothy top white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated light yellow orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was mild hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes hops and was lager like. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Bottle shared by Lunch. Thanks Paul!
The beer appears golden yellow with a small, white head that leaves just a bit of lacing on the glass.
The aroma brings a heavy serving of hops with butterscotch. This smells much more like a barleywine than any kind of pilsner, imperial or otherwise.
The flavor brings a lot of booze, with a huge hop presence. Ugh! Not for the faint of heart. The taste is long lasting, with prominent sweetness and hops soaked in alcohol.
The feel is medium to full bodied with light carbonation.
Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Orangish straw, hazy, large frothy white head, nice lacing, lively carbonation.   Doesn’t
seem much of a lager type in its haziness.   Strong sweet grassiness on the nose.   A little dank.   Very
strong hay/grass on the tongue, warming, but for a 12% ABV its not really alcholic.   I can tell it has a kick,
but its fairly smooth.   A bit difficult to drink as it warms as it becomes a little cloying and mealy.
Aside from that, I am amazed as to how smooth this is.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   A little
boring in that its not all that entertaining, but its smooth and clean with the ABV being well hidden.   I could
easily reach for another on a hot day if this was nice and cold.   Sweet on the finish, with a bit of hops that
make their initial apperance.   Thanks Jeff for the freebie!
1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 sbanach (214) - USA - OCT 27, 2011
Aroma smells like whiskey, smoe grains, lace, low hops, medium malts, high alcohol falvor, sweet, light fruit on tounge, full body and lingering. Okay, best served in sniffer..
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Atom (995) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Bomber poured through coffee filter for fear of glass shards, pours hazy golden/orange with a big fluffy white head. Aroma of bready yeast, caramel, grass, grain, sweet honey, hops, and malt. Wow the taste is sweet, into some barnyard hay funk, nice spice character, and finishing on some bitter sweet yeast. This has some nice elements to it, but there is just no return from how sweet this is.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 mtjoseph (243) - Murderapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Pours a bright, full bodied orange, with a big frothy head. Big aroma for a pils. A ton of malt on the nose. Cereal, grains, bread, dominate the aroma. I have a feeling this might be rather sweet. Yep, it is. A malt bomb for a pils, and a huge oily mouthfeel to boot. Big, doughy sweet grains, toffee, faded hops comprise of the flavor. Have a feeling this bottle is just past its prime. If fresh, I could see this kicking my ass.
1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 mattyb83 (733) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2011
Bottle shared by atom. Slightly hazy, golden orange in color with a frothy white head. Christ, this is a huge caramel bomb on the aroma. Sweet jesus, this is sweet smelling. Syrupy body make this too much for me. Sweet caramel and some cardboard notes. A small burn as this goes down. One dimensional in that it is just caramel sweetness, and a syrupy body make this pretty gross to me.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Newk (299) - - SEP 18, 2011
this was poured from draft and poured a nice head
Balanced and aromatic with tones of malts, hops, oranges and some heat (in an alcoholic way)
medium/full bodied with a lot more malty tones but also some booziness as well
This was definitely showing the 12%, but it wasn’t like I was drinking an extremely alcoholic beer. While there was a boozy quality to it, it wasn’t overdone and on the whole a very good beer
