COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our "Brown is the new Black" Imperial Schwartz aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels, this new element to an already amped up Schwartz is a great addition to complicating it’s flavor; soft roast, malty, oak, vanilla, and bourbon are just a few descriptors for this fine lager.

Aroma of rye, vanilla, molasses, toffee, chocolate and birch beer. Pours deep brown, with a fluffy head. Taste has bitter rye, good smoked body, vanilla bean, and toffee. Delicious.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2012 Thanks Danny! Deep amber pour with a white head. Nose is sweet bourbon, nice malts, and vanilla. Great flavor that similar to the nose and not too sweet. Pretty tasty.

Bottle; Pour is murky brown with a fine bubbled khaki head in this glass; the head is average, with modest lacing, and modest retention as well. The nose is heavy on the barrel treatment. Oak, Vanilla, Booze... and some caramel, chocolate, roast notes. This one starts off fairly one dimensional, yet seemed decent enough. As it warmed it went a bit downhill for me, revealing more of the booze than I would have liked. This one seems like an interesting take, but fairly pointless by my estimation. It does have a soft feel, but its overtaken by the barrel treatment (oak, vanilla, booze, bourbon), with some chocolate, roast, caramel notes near the finish. Not bad but.....

A nice scent of sweet bourbon, roasted malts, vanilla, and oak. The flavor is malty. The bourbon has a nice taste. I also picked up on the oak with a slight vanilla taste. There is a minimal bitterness in the Schwartz. Overall the bourbon lingers and coats the mouth impacting the palate mildly. Its not a bad thing but it is noticeable. I enjoyed this drink. The only negative is that the flavor dissipates quickly and what sticks around is a good bourbon flavor.
