Poured a hazy, paler golden with a deeper center.. full cap of creamy white head. Wonderful aroma as well!.. rich, peppery spices and orange peel accent sweet banana and doughy notes.. sweet, yet spicy.. warm and complex.. truly wonderful! Nice contrast between sweet and spicy again in the flavor... banana and bready notes with layers of white pepper, coriander, and orange zest surrounding.. mild diacetyl accents on the finish.. very, very tasty! Almost medium-bodied with a great contrast between the sweetness and spiciness.. refreshing, too. Great stuff! jaymobrown (1299), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 10, 2007 Light and tangy. Really sparkles. Light lemon and orange flavor. Some white pepper and other spices. Good, full mouth feel. Sweet but from a natural flavor, not that horrible candy flavor that so many other beers have. When the weather turns warmer give this a drink. heemer77 (3669), Savannah, Missouri, USA Apr 2, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. This was great for a wit, but it’s a style that never impresses me very much. The body was cloudy yellow with some spicy clove in teh aroma. Thre was also some basil type herbs and lemons. The was was largely bananas and cloves. Nicely done and about as good as a wit can get. Drnk_McDermott (1545), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Mar 29, 2007 Draft. Rating #1,100. Yellowish milky white with a short, lacy white head. Light lemon & spice smell. Taste has delicate citrus and coriander as promised. Sweet, but unassuming in balance. No off notes, no extremes, just a great example of a wit. tjthresh (1289), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Apr 8, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Superb. Opaque yellow with some nice orangish highlights. Somw snowy white head that left a bit of lace behind. Lightly spiced with corriander and orange peel and a hefty wheat nose. Really great yeast character. Lively carbonations and a fluffy mouthfeel. Really well done.
