Our "Breinheitsgebot" Märzen style lager is characterized by a medium body and a light copper color. Maltiness (light and toasty) is definitely the dominate flavor, but this beer finishes with a clean hop bitterness. The European/German hop varieties are subtly present in the flavor and, to a lesser extent, the aroma.

cloudy copper, small off-white head, quite lacy. nose is mostly air with a trace of musty malt. flavor of musty malt is more pronounced than the nose, but there is little else here. medium bodied, slightly bitter finish. not as lot going on here. not all that festive. on tap @ brewpub on 11/2/2010

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Flossmoor, IL). A new Oktoberfest as Bryan continues his lager train. Pours a faintly hazed copper hue, bright and deep reddish hue, a decent offwhite head sits atop, laces well and stays ok sized. Aromas are crisp malts, toast, bread, faint florals. Initial is light bodied, toffee and biscuits, toast with some faint florals, grass, spice. Mellow sweetness lingers, moves into the backend, toffee and toast, with a touch of hops, faint spice. Simple but tasty, crisp and quite palateable. Finish is lightly mellow sweet, touch of hops. Not bad

On tap at the station. Pours clear light copper with white head. Aromas of toasted malts, a bit of floral hops, and caramel. Flavor of toasted malts, caramel, and bit of floral hops and grain. Pretty drinkable and enjoyable Marzen.
