This reddish ale gives off a pungent grassy, citrus-like, aroma with a touch of pine that invites you to take a sip. The American hops (Chinook, Amarillo and Cascade) are balanced by the full-bodied sweetness of the malt and the higher than normal alcohol. The bitterness is not as aggressive as some of our IPAs but the bold citrus and pine type flavors linger on your palate and blend magically with the sweet malt flavor.

Bottle shared by Miketd. Thanks Mike! Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is pine, with some grass in the back side. Has a medium mouthfeel. Flavor is smooth malt, pine, and finishes with a strong pine flavor. Overall a great brew from one of the best IPA breweries in the US.

Draft at Flossmoor. Pours a dark orange with a small white head. Moderate carbonation. Aroma is of floral hops, citrus, pine, and caramel malt. Taste is sweet, earthy hops, pine, and caramel malt. Lingering alcohol burn in the finish. Not overly bitter, but damned tasty.

On tap at Flossmoor Station and served in an English pint glass. This IPA poured a dark reddish amber with a one-finger thick head of tan foam that slowly settled into a lasting ring. Some light lacing was left around the glass. The aroma was loaded with grapefruit and pine. The flavor was also full of hops. Not abrasively bitter, but not much malt comes through either. Mainly a lasting Chinook bitterness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and clean. Light carbonation. A decent IPA, but not one of my favorites from Flossmoor.

22oz. purple wax, with thanks to FlssmrBrewAlum. Pours a clear darker iced tea color with a nice tan head that lingers for quite a while. Aroma is citrus, freshly cut grass, and light pine and caramel in the background. Flavor is a nice piney bite that lingers, with some grass and light caramel on the finish. An enjoyable IPA, thanks again Adam!

22oz bottle w/ purple wax. Poured cloudy copper in color with a large foamy head. Aroma of light lemon citrus, caramel, and oranges. Tastes of caramel malts, citrusy hops, lemon, oranges. A little on the sweet side, but overall not a bad IPA.

Golden Amber with an ever lasting white head. Light nose of citrus and herbal hops. Palate is wonderful, grapefruit, tropical fruits, and a long lasting gentle bitterness with a great malt backbone. Perfectly in balance. A truly great IPA. Purple wax bottle purchased at the pub.
