3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 phaleslu (3544) - Saint Louis, USA - DEC 1, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy orange-gold color with red tints and white lace. Weak, generic aroma with only a hint of cherry- citrus, wheat, sweet malts, and yeast are more apparent. Smooth, somewhat tart, and sweet flavor. Cherry and wheat are strongest at the finish, and the cherry aftertaste is pretty nice. Light/medium bodied. Along with the Brewberry Wheat, Flossmoor Station has a couple good go-to beers for uninterested girlfriends and casual beer drinkers, so this will do nicely if you’re trying some of their more challenging stuff.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Theis (9252) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 2, 2012
Draught at Flossmoor Station - brewpub. Cloudy amber - white head. Cherry, bubblegum, wheaty, light flowery, sweetness, light yeasty, tartness, too sweet.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 19, 2011
Sampled at the brewpub. A funky fruity appearance that is almost like a bloody Mary. Lots of thick lacing. The nose is cherries. That is also what is tasted. It is fairly dry with very slight bitterness. This is very east to drink and a nice summer beer.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Thorpe429 (3824) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - APR 13, 2011
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a hazy light orange color with a bit of brown. The nose is some sweet cherries with a bit of dry grain and wheat in the background. Taste is overly sweet with cherries dominaing the entire palate. Feel is a bit cloying. Drinks okay and is refreshing as a summer beer, but not something I would really want again.

On tap at the brew pub, grrr, another attempt at a fruit beer...A super dirty river water mud brown, ok retention and lacing...The aroma is totally dead, can’t get a thing at all...Taste is overly sweet and generic syruo with a light wheat middle, and a metallic finish. No redeeming qualities in this one at all, skip i
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sbanach (203) - USA - MAR 26, 2011
Sample at flossmoor station brewery. Aroma is tart, light cherry/citrus smell. Nice lace around glass, 1 finger head disspiates to thin ring. Color is cloudy pink/red. The brew is hazy and not clear. Low hop, low malt, cherry taste, slight crisp cherry aftertaste. A tart, semi sweet, smooth fruit ale. Recommended after a meal in place of a dessert. Yummy B+
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Dogbrick (4843) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a murky orange-amber color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Stringy lacing. The aroma is cherries and malt. Light body with a red cherry flavor and notes of malt and wheat. The finish is slightly tart cherry that does not linger long. Barely average overall.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Roonai (128) - - FEB 26, 2011
On tap at the brewery for hi-fi release. Smell is orange sweet tart cherry and an almond (?) in there too. Taste is pretty standard wheat ale with orange peel and tart cherries with a yeasty straw backing. Not one id opt for again at a place with so many great brews.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Frank (2060) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 18, 2010
This a muddy pinking orange which really isn’t terribly attractive aside from the head which is white and of mostly small bubbles. The nose is very mild, not much of anything aside from some sweet tartness which implies a bit of fruit. The cherry flavor is more pronounced once tasted but there is also a bit overly bitter w/ an unfortunate metallic overtone. This is not Flossmoor’s best work.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 nickd717 (3305) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 2, 2010
On tap at Flossmoor Station pre-DLD.
Pours cloudy red with minimal head.
Aroma is somewhat simple: cherries, wheat, and a little medicinal note.
Flavor has a decent cherry aspect, but a considerable medicinal cough syrup note sort of counteracts this. Very sweet and a little wheaty. They claim this is tart, but it’s really not.
Palate is medicinal and somewhat cloying. Medium-bodied with fairly low carbonation.
Overall, this is nowhere near something like New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red. A below-average fruit beer.

On tap at Flossmoor. Pours a light orange brown, hazy and cloudy with a medium sized bone white head. Soft cherry, wheat, sweet fruit. Cloyingly sweet, honey and cherries. Grainy bitterness on the finish, and some odd marzipan flavors.
