Bottle thanks to Adam. Pours a hazy deep golden orange with a white head that dissipated quickly and completely. Aroma is a bit boozy with caramel and sweet grains backed by some citrus and a bit of light flora. Flavor starts with caramel and citrus with a bit of sweet grain and booze coming out in the finish.

22oz bottle that I’ve had forever from Lush on Roscoe. Pours a cloudy burnt orange colored body with a finger-width, fizzy, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is pretty sweet with lots of bready caramel, doughy Belgian yeast with some spice, Belgian candi, and floral fruits with some apricot and a light citrus. Flavor is similar. Sweet and bready caramels, lots of doughy yeast, a light herbal spicing, sweet oranges, florals, apricots, and a light citrus. Yeast spice and light herbal hop helps this finish dry, but sweet with lots of doughy and bready caramels as well as a light alcohol warmth. Lengthy aftertaste following a full body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a well balanced, bigger Belgian Strong that has some nice things going on. Pretty bready with lots of caramels, but a solid yeasty and herbal spice with a nice floral fruitiness and orange citrus. Not cloyingly sweet and hides the alcohol pretty well. Nothing crazy special, but this is drinking pretty well right now.

22oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Dull golden pour, very little head. Nose is floral with Belgian yeast and candi sugar - flavors of caramel malt, raisin, and too much alcoholic heat.

Pours a cloudy dark golden orange color with a half finger off white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind. Sweet malty aroma with lots of caramel apple and pear. Subtle booze and faint hops but the nose is all sweet, toffee covered fruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a good balance of sweet malt and faint light fruit. Subtle spice with some pepper and cinnamon but the caramel malt and light fruits dominates. Carmel apple and pear along with a slight buttery presence before a touch of booze comes in, lingering into a dry finish. Much better than the horrid 08 version.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clearish gold with soapy white bubbles. Nose of gold raisins, Belgian yeast, sweet bread. Taste of caramel, raisins, mild oxidation and an alcoholic finish.

Smooth, easy drinking, not all I had hoped it would be, found it to be a bit on the wheaty/ spicy side and a bit blah. Worth trying if you can find it, but I wouldn’t trade much for it.

Tasted on Dark Lord Day from a 22oz bottle purchased at Lush Roscoe. Pours caramel orange with a thin beige head that recedes to a thin layer of spotty lace. The nose is very malty and fruity with tons of caramel and some burnt bitterness. The flavor is more bitter than expected and slithy vegetal with caramel, and cooked sweet potato maltiness. The body is medium with very light carbonation and a long burnt bitter and malty finish.
