3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at GABF, poured hazy yellow with white head, aroma had notes of grass, toffee, some clove and spice, some nice fruity esters leading into biscuit, some earth as well. Taste is nice and full bodied with some hops lending grass, going into notes of fruity esters, nice clove and spice notes, hints of biscuit and toffee finishes nice and dry, slightly bitter as well.

Gabf. Hazy, golden appearance with a white head. Mild piney, organic hoppy, light yeasty aroma. Sweet orange citrusy, yeasty flavor along with a piney, earthy hoppy, bitter taste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub. This is crystal clear and golden with some copper. A very small white head. Piney citrus in the nose. There is some nice bitterness and nice tart citrus. It is far from over powering. Wheat adds character and smoothness. Some nice subtleness with banana, yeast, malt and those hops. Nice.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
draft... clear straw with a light off white head... dead boring nose... taste is all over the place but exactly as described, light banana start but way too dry hopped as the finish is super harsh and bitter, not a fun of this, tough to drink

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Plainfield MWBF. Pours a hazy pale gold with a sticky white head that persists. The nose is citrusy hops and some faint banana aromatics. The yeast isn’t too over the top here and agrees with the hopping. Reminds me a lot of Crack’d Wheat. On taste, clean bitterness that is never astringent. More of the citrus and banana working together. Pretty solid beer overall.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap ; pour is murky light golden with a modest white head in this glass - the nose is citrus zest, and I suppose the hefeweizen notes are there. Barely. Anyway - I think all around it feels a little messy, muted, light bodied - with that dry hopping that doesn’t impress. Next

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Aroma as advertised at oak park tasting. Aroma is banana light with a hoppy kick. The banana is in the front and disappears leaving the hops in the back. Interesting brew.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
At the brewpub. Interesting. It wasn’t bad but I don’t think this really worked for me. The flavors and aroma were a bit in competition. Serving: Tap

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft on tap at Great Taste of the Midwest 2011 (Madison, WI). Pours a well hazed golden glowing hue, a bit murky with a huge offwhite huge cakey head, laces well and sticks around strong. Aromas are florals and grass, dry hops, some bread dough, flaked wheat, and touches of banana. Initial is medium maybe a bit lighter bodied. Healthy dry hops of florals, dry grass, and citrus. Some flaked wheat and bread, but largely a moderate more earthy hopping. Moving into bread, flaked wheat, dough, and some fruity esters. Finish is dry, a touch yeasty, sweet esters. The hops linger on as florals and lemons. Not too shabby. Light bodied enough for me.
