COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With a blend of aromatic rye and a whisper of Orange Blossom honey, our Gandy Dancer is light and sparkling, yet full of flavor. The addition of three varieties of hops guarantees an inviting and complex taste, proving that lighter beers can have character.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2008 Draft. Nice, tasty ale; though my palate isn’t refined enough to detect honey taste. Nice amber color under a thin, lacy head. My pull had a surprisingly bitter/spicy hop bite countering the sweetness, I ’spect Todd is playing with his AAU levels lately. Still, a lip-smacking brew.

[Tap] Deep orange color without much head, but with nice looking lacing. Aroma of rye bread, honey and caramel malts. Tasting notes include honey malts, white pepper, mild resinous hops and dry grains. Average palate. Not bad.

Golden orange appearance with a tan head. Pretty spicy, floral herbal, honey, orange citrus aroma. Carbonation is a bit dull. Caramel, toasted, sweet nectar, honey flavor. Not all that bad but kind of one dimensional.

Pour is clear red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of honey, earth, lemon, caramel, sugar, hints of spice, rye, slight lemongrass notes in there as well. Taste is a mix of slight honey, earth, grain, spice, rye, yeast, some sugary notes into caramel, toffee, finishing fairly sweet, more honey.

A lot of honey in this beer. A light body with a sweet flavor and good honey profile. Kind of interesting in that regard.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a clear golden/orange color with an off-white head. The aroma was predominantly of flowery hops. The taste was similar. It had a medium body without much hop bitterness. Nicely done.
