3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft on tap at the brewpub (Flossmoor, IL). Pours a mellow straw yellow hue, firm haziness glows well. A bit of golden straw glow on the edges. Cakey offwhite head atop stays as a firm fimly layer, laces well. Aromas are gentle banana, fruit, some yeasty spice. Dry straw, dry grains, touch of apple, banana, gentle doughy element and a faint waft of vanilla. Mellow earthy hops. Lemon rind, touches of apple, some dryness and mellow citrus oils. Initial is lighter end of the fold, lemon and fruit kinda take over. Some gentle grass, soap, florals and earthy hops meet some lemon, straw, dough, and bread. Citrusy lemon and tartness hit a bit into the middle. Bready, straw, mellow dough backend is mellow sweetness and gives this just the touch of body it needs. Pretty nice smaller Belgian, good flavors, some fruity and citrusy pop and mellow dryness from the grain and a small hopping. Nice.

Very standard brew, nothing overreaching. It has a noticeable herbal hop character.
